A beautiful image has been chosen to accompany your sweet poem. We need to appreciate the beauty of birds and their song - can be very uplifting and restorative. Best wishes for your entry.

One could look at birds that way, in a sense I look at them as God's heralds, which is more or less the same, and certainly connects the creatures to each other and us, beautifully written dear friend, good luck, blessings Roy

Welcome
Comment from Gloria ....
So cute, Pookie. The birds chirping in the trees can be a fun thing to listen to, and watch. They have strong hierarchies so the territorial and status battles can be quick and feathery.
Thank you for sharing today. :)

And what a sweet sound it is. Most especially when you compare birdsongs to strident head banking Rock songs, or the deafening base and embarrassingly shocking lyrics of the average Rap song one is forced to listen to these days.

Very well done on this, a great entry for the Cinquain contest. The songs of birds are always pleasant to listen to. Today I have been hearing the Blue Jays, calling for rain, which we are getting.

My favorite time of day is just before the sun rises. I love to take a cup of hot tea to the back porch rocking chair, sip the tea, and listen to the birds wake up. Your contest entry captured this moment for me. Thank you and good luck.

Thanks. Do you know how to write a 575 poem on animals with a play on words? That is the current contest.
-
You are welcome. Sometimes a clever or cute picture helps to get you started with an idea. Another suggestion is to look at some of the entries in the contest, but if I were doing it, the good picture would be the bigger help. Good luck with it.
There are two good sites for synonyms and descriptive words: rhymezone.com and related words.com

I love the bird singing, too. Especially in Costa Rica and Belize, you can hear the crazies bird yelling, all night long. In my yard, I often hear Cardinals making mating calls.
The picture of parrots are beautiful but they are not the most beautiful singing birds, aren't they?
Well done and good luck.

So how do I write a 575 poem about an animal using a play on words? That is the current contest.
-
I know. You did a great job and I didn't mean to criticize you. I'm sorry about that if you feel I did.
Have a nice day, my friend.
-
You did not criticize me. Do you know how to write a 575 poem with a play on words about an animal?
-
I see you are asking me a question about a current contest. I have written many 5-7-5 poems about animals.
Here is a one of mine for the Haiku contest:
A singing loon
jump up with quivering voice --
nature's sopranos

Yes. I did one for the crane. Here are more examples:
I left my phone on the left side of the room.
The baseball pitcher asked for a pitcher of water.
The committee chair sat in the center chair.
While they are at the play, I?m going to play with the dog.
She will park the car so we can walk in the park.

Cute idea for this Cinquain contest. The two (love?) birds are apparently in tune with each other. Glad you heard their music! You selected a most appropriate photo to complement your words.
Liked your mini rhyme scheme.

Nice cinquain, dear One... Good luck in the contest. Birds are so beautiful and this little poem describes them well. I can see them flitting about, hear them singing...
