Ciao Marco!

I love the black background, it enhances the vivid hues of the leaves in your artwork that recall sunset.

I love the verb dapple . I think of dot painting which illustrates well autumn leaves.

cornucopia : unusual yet great word to describe autumn s many gifts .

Fall is a very generous season: its colours , smells and tastes delight are senses.

Besides beautiful autumn leaves, there are a multitude of vegetables , fruits, nuts to fill the cone shaped container and our bellies.

The closing line

A Feast of colours :

a clever word choice

Feast : all those vivid hues is certainly a feast /joy to see.

Feast : referring to all the foods available to feast on.

    Tempeste,

The importance of your current review gave me my 15th review. So I achieved a level I rarely earn. My personal standard of FS achievement is when the number of actual reviews are 30% or higher of the total looks. Less than that FS reviewers took a peek but chose not to comment on the post. Honestly, I do this often since I rarely review long(er) poems even when I am a fan of the FS poet.

Pleased you sensed my connection with cornucopia and feast - thanks for that recognition.

    Ciao !

I didn?t know getting 15 reviews for a poem earned you a recognition.

I have seen some poems have a special blue ribbon which is not like the one you win on the podium , but I had no idea how it was obtained.

I know more now thanks to your explanation.

Your poem deserved it! ( smile)

I like short poems. My go to short one is a Haiku. It's amazing how few
words can paint a picture for the reader. You have chosen a great picture
for your poem but your words paint a picture for me. This is a lovely
Haiku. I like the alliteration.

    Thanks,

Longer poems are NOT in my poetry wheelhouse. I typically write only in 5-7-5 syllabic lines. I agree with your comments about the uniqueness of the short poem style. Pleased with your review about my overall presentation.

I really like this 5-7-5. Fantastic picture, amazing colours.
The word cornucopia is a great one.
If I were to make any suggestion, it would be in the last line.

Instead of - a feast of colours
which takes my mind to food, I would perhaps say
- palette of colours.

Just a thought. I enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing.

    DD,

Palette is a good alternative; it goes good with the painter?s palette. I have used that concept in other FS posts. A funny edit/pun might be ?palate.?

    I really did choose feast to go with my cornucopia as a food idea (-;

P.S.. So, are you British or Australian that you show your ?colours??

It certainly is a feast of colours, looking at the photo you chose to accompany your poem. The choice of "cornucopia" suggests an overflowing abundance of good things, which ties in with the idea of a feast. Well written!

I appreciate your stopover. Pleased you picked up my cornucopia and feast connection (for a festive future event or Thanksgiving?).

You've written and presented a particularly nice piece of artwork and poem. This time of the year is special wherever on travels, the most stable of seasons. Beautifully written Mark, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

This is a gorgeous poem about my favorite season of the year. I love the phrase 'cornucopia of leaves' because it immediately triggers an image. I like this picture very much too. Sometimes I just fall in love with certain phrases and this is one such phrase.

    Mary,

So pleased you enjoyed my multi-syllable word (-; You are correct that it triggers an image, which captures our imagination.

Thanks for your review of my typical poem style.

We don't have much tree variety around me, so the kinds of leaves found in one place are usually small. I like your use of the word CORNUCOPIA to describe that "feast of colors."

Your haiku is excellent in every respect--lovely, like the season you celebrate; and vividly desctiptive. I have always loved the word
"cornucopia"! Effective metaphor

Well this is a cornucopia of words, Mark ... a feast for the eyes. I just want to keep reading it over and over. There's just the right amount of alliteration, plus great imagery. I love it.
