I enjoyed reading and I can tell you had fun writing it. I'm going to weigh in on the showing how we feel constantly. I like the idea, BUT... and it's a huge BUT, I believe it would cause many problem. For a minor example... a woman gets a new hair style and she loves it. Are you really going to admit it looks stupid? Of course not. It would hurt her feelings.

Okay - I tried to sift through everything you were saying - even when you did not say it... You are searching for yourself, I hope you find you! Dreams are direction finders...only you need to find your direction. I love the line about Sunny...I have a bitty little calico who worships me, but when that tail...well I hide quickly. This is fine writing and skillfully done.

Yes, Sherry...I am searching for myself. Dreams are one way I try to do that.
Thank you for your kind words about Sunny and your little kitty calico. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
    Have a great day,

Provo harum's song is a wonderful song. You brought some memories.

Your daydreams sound trippy. Maybe they are induced by medication. Or you used LSD in the past. I never did but my ex-husband did and the effect lasts a lifetime. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your essay. Well done, Jesse.

This is a very nice piece of writing, I enjoyed reading it. It flows well and the message is clear and well-constructed. Dreams can be amazing or
Terrifying so enjoy them!

-You chose a very good image, Jesse.
-I like the song you mentioned, too.
-Your story goes along with it well.
-You have a good opening about your dreams.
-You must remember them very well, too.
-It's interesting that people you have
known appear, and how your thinking
takes you to new levels, like when
you watch your cat.
-As you get toward the end, you
are very honest about what you
wonder about these ideas and
how they will be viewed.
-You ask a good question and
have an excellent ending.
-A couple of small suggestions:
You repeat "lucid" twice in the opening
In this line, I would use 'enjoy':
just lay back and enjoyed the trip!
-A good job overall!!

Thanks, Pam, for your detailed honest review. I like your suggestions and have made the changes already.
You like a lot of what I say and understand what I am saying which is more than some of the readers.
Thanks, again, for your great suggestions and excellent review!
Have a wonderful rest of your week,

You are very welcome for the review and comments, Jesse. It all made sense to me! Maybe that's because I have really bizarre dreams. You have a great rest of your week, too.

Good Morning, Jesse!
I enjoyed reading your prose work!
Dreams! Goodness! I dream so often and so deeply that I often call out - frightening my poor husband. (I frighten myself as well as my dreams are so vivid)
And your cat, Sunny, sounds like a lovable character. How I miss our Sophie and Dickens. They both seemed to know the heartbeat of our home.
If I were to offer any suggestions, it would to insert a transitional phrase/sentence between your first and second paragraphs. Something in the nature of the following:

Along with my lucid dreams, one night, I was watching my kitty, Sunny, (.) (it was really happening and,) She was miffed at me about something, and I watched her flap down her tail in anger and I thought to myself...what if every person in the world had a tail!!!

The thought of everyone possessing a cat's tail made me smile for cats certainly let their owners know what's on their mind!

How I remember: "Trip the Light Fandango!"

Thank you for sharing and happy dreaming!

Good morning, Diane! I am sorry it took so long to get back to you, it has been one big roller coaster ride for me!
I know about lucid dreaming yet I didn't know you had a problem with it yourself!
You said it frightens you, well I am so sorry because it sometimes brings on delight for me!
Thank you for sharing also and I wish you happy dreaming as well,
Have a wonderful day, my friend,
    Jesse

We cannot change the past, but here in your dream you did and it brought great comfort to you and dealing with thoughts of the past and the need to change our history can be resolved with forgiveness, much enjoyed Jesse, Love Dolly x

Dolly, I am worried, I read one of your sonnets recently called The Muse and I am afraid you are referring to me...are you?
You say we cannot change the past but how about the present there is something we can still do...don't you think?
Please, get back to me whenever you are ready and I promise not to leave!!
    Take care, Dolly,
    Jesse

Interesting write, Jesse! I have been a lucid dreamer all my life. I also dream in color, which many say they do not.

I often find myself communicating on some dream level with loved ones who have passed. It is a great comfort...

Have you ever had premonition dreams? They can be quite startling!

Not sure I'd want to know the innermost thoughts others have about me...

A little mystery may avoid conflict! (Smile)

Your bit about your cat was adorable! Surely, if humans had "tails" there would be no need for "tales!" Cats reveal their thoughts so effectively with a curt swat or a playful swish!

You are really developing onto a skilled prose writer!

Glad Liz caught you early. She is always so helpful and well deserving of your promised reviewer vote!

Very nice write, Jesse.

Karenina

Hi Karenina, I dream in color, too! I have not had a premonition dream in a long, long time. Those are amazing! Thank you for this most interesting review. And, thanks for the kind words about my writing! I am also happy I had Liz as my first review!! She is so helpful and she steered me right into corrections that really helped a lot, I believe!

As I was reading your excellent way of telling us what was reality and what were lucid dream. I agree when you wrote of how my friends saw me happy only in my dreams.
I had pleasnt dreams of being with others and in reality I felt lonely.

No, I would not want a tail. As a kid, bullies would pick on me--pull it, tie it in a knot, step on it as I walked down the hall to my next class. As a young attractive lassie, I'd have to slap men for grabbing it, wrestle it away from an abusive husband or boyfriend, have it wrapped around my neck in a fight with another female. Plus, there are a million and one things I couldn't do with both hands full: One hand would always have to be free to scoop it up before closing any door, standing in line at checkout counters, and circling the floor at a dance, etc. No, my dear friend let that tail thing just be your dreams. :))
