Thank you, dear Beth, for your phenomenal review, the six shining stars and your supportive analysis of the story I shared in my notes. I'm so happy that you liked my little poem, and I agree that Jorge deserves a medal for persistence! He is really a kind and compassionate person, too. You're so right -- I never thought about the fact that he waited longer for me than Jacob did for Rebecca! And then after 17 years, we were engaged for almost 21 months, roughly 19 years waiting.
When he wanted to wear a white tuxedo for the wedding, I said, no problem. You deserve to wear white, too! The only thing was, he was in a hurry that day and wore black socks. When we sat on the platform in church, both of our moms were looking at him, and they wouldn't let him forget it. We still laugh about it today.

'Forever love' is a wonderful expression to describe what true love is between two people. There are always ups and downs in the holy estate of matrimony, as is recognised in the vows. However, 'forever love' will always see us through.

Thank you so much, Tony, for this beautiful, thoughtful review and the five stars. I'm so glad you like my expression, "forever love." When Jorge and I got married, it was a very purposeful decision, and once there, it seemed quite easy -- but the marriage vows themselves felt so special and real, transforming us from two people, to one flesh, as the Bible describes it. Forever love is a choice, as making a decision for Christ is also a choice. Jorge had somehow chosen to love me, long before that moment! I'm so blessed that he did. Yes, we're in this for life.
