One should never underestimate the power of prayer. There are times when it seems we have come to the end of our rope but it's never the end of God's grace and healing.

Thank you for sharing.

Blessings
Janet

You are so right, Janet, prayer does help, even, as one reviewer told me, just to chat the 'Man upstairs' does help and He will always listen. I'm so pleased you enjoyed my poem. Have a lovely week, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xxx

I liked the metaphors, -sorting out the debris, never seen sunshine, rainbows coloured grey' it adds depth to your theme. The prayer coming from the depth of her soul was answered....
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing. I see this being a poem about a change of attitude. In her bleakness she prayed. Fundamentally, none of her circumstances changed but because of her new attitude she saw things differently. Well written.

That is exactly right, Henry. Life still carries on, problems still happen but when you have God in your life, it's a little easier knowing you are not alone. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

This is a beautiful and well written poem. The rhyme scheme is perfect and the meter flows naturally. The imagery is very visual. The picture reminds me of the Tragedy/Comedy Masks used in theater. Very well done.

A charming poem reinforcing belief. Clearly it worked for 'her', the protagonist in this poem. First of course you have to believe. That is the bit I find hardest. Rhyming couplets in quatrains of iambic heptameter. Neatly done.

Thank you so much, Jim. Your thoughts are the same for many people. I find the heptameter goes well with story-poems, you have more room to write. Thanks again, my friend. Sandra xx

Yes, the artwork is very unique: White face-dark-skin hands. I've never seen anything like it before. I loved the poem. What a dramatic way of showing one praying and trusting, God.

I loved this Sandra. I have been praying so much for my granddaughter who seems to just get worse, although she's taken a few steps toward recovery. It made me wish she would pray this way. Your rhymes and meter are perfect. The sentiments are heart-touching. What more does a poem need? Well... maybe six stars. ;") MM

Oh, MM, I'm so sorry that your granddaughter is still ill. It never hurts to ask God for help. I hope she gets better soon, I can understand how worried you must feel.
I'm glad you liked my poem, enough to give it a six!! Seriously, I will add you and your granddaughter to my prayers. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xx
