The Bible says that those who approach God in prayer must first believe that he is. To me that means that to pray to a God that you do not believe really exists is like just talking to yourself. It might even make you feel better but does not put an end to your problems. Faith is so essential to a successful prayer that to pray without faith is like refusing a precious gift that has been offered free of charge.

Your beautiful poetry is inspirational and uplifting. Additionally, you told a story of confusion, pain, and faith in prayer. Your story started with the problem, and ended with the realization that God can smooth each bumpy ride. Well done.

This is lovely. I have often prayed, but I never really know if I've been heard. I have never known the kind of miracle that shows that God has been there. Thanks for sharing.:)

Many have said that, and then ages after they have realised God did hear, and did respond but not in the way we expect. One day all will be made clear to each of us. Thank you for reading my poem, my friend. Keep that faith inside. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

What a lovely and uplifting poem, Sandra! God can do wonders, through the power of prayer. We must only have faith in Him.
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Hebrews 11:6 NIV
It was so kind of Pam and Teri to add pumps! It's so sweet to have fellowship, kindness and generosity on this site.
Praise be to Our God!

That is the thing, faith. Without it, we won't see what God is doing to help us through our trials. I'm so pleased you enjoyed my poem, my friend. Warm hugs. :)) Sandra xx

I cannot find one line that is not my favorite. There is power, strength and emotion in every line.

Beautifully created; loved both the rhythm and the rhyme. Both the title and accompanying artwork are perfect for your poem.

The theme, 'power of prayer', speaks to my heart. My family and I have recently been blessed with answered prayer thanks to all the wonderful prayer warriors here on FanStory.

There was great imagery throughout the stanzas. I enjoyed the flow, starting with a woman being in a bad place of mind and circumstances; the call/pleas to God for help, praying she is worthy; and the next day's wonderous realization that God loved her, thought her worthy, and indeed answers prayer that come straight from the heart. Her eyes were opened, seeing God's beauty all around her.

The last stanza was pure perfection and a great message. Just because we belong to God, it does not mean we will not have trials; God WILL be with us throughout. I know from experience, it makes a difference. Life would not be worth living for me if I did not have my God. He has changed me and can change all.

I'm excited about your poem; it made me feel good and start babbling :)

Aw, GAle that was such a lovely review. I'm so very happy that the power of prayer has helped you and your family. People should always as God watch over us and if possible show a way out of their despair. He does listen. Thank you for all your kind comments about my poem, Gale, and for the lovely sixth star. You have put a huge smile on my face with your lovely words. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

The circle of life is a never-ending trail of curves and crashes. When the cycle is on top and everything is good, just hang around, things will go bad. But when times are their worst, they almost always get better. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful poem. I enjoyed it but it made me wonder why am I so full of doubt? It dishonours God. I pray for faith that pleases Him and sometimes I pray for other things but why doesn't God answer? I know what wrong it's me lack of faith. Thank you for sharing this lovely poem.

Our faith can be sorely tested in many different ways, but we do tend to come back and He is always waiting. I think God answers our prayers in ways we don't realise at the time. Thank you so much for your lovely review, Eunice, and for the golden sixth star. I really appreciate it all. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

I have no crown of jewels, yet, although I know it's true
that there awaits a stunning one for me, and for you too
because our Lord and Savior loves His children, one and all,
and with His help and guidance we will rise from every fall
to sit beside His throne, a Bride of Christ in every way -
we'll wear bejeweled crowns of gold - His glory on display.

Hi Dawn, how lovely to see you. I've been missing for a while, too. I hope you are keeping safe and well.
Thank you so much for reading my poem, and for that lovely sixth star! I love what you said, He does love all His children, and it's so reassuring to know as we struggle on through life. Another nice thought, we will get to meet each other! Love and hugs, my dear friend. :) Sandra xxx
