You bought the owl to life here and they are such cute looking birds and we always warm to them. Your owl write is a fine entry for the contest, good end rhymes even though the meter is slightly out of step, love Dolly x

This poem is excellent in all respects. I love the rhyme and also the fact that the owl is so much more then just a halloween figure. Best of luck to you in the contest.

I have only seen owls in wildlife sanctuaries where they're taken when injured. I especially like your first stanza describing them in the moonlight. Monorhyme is so challenging to work with. Eg.--stanza 4 where the last two lines don't truly rhyme with the first two.
