Animals, and yes, we are animals too as most forget, have a special intelligence that picks up on everything. Cats seem to recognize words and even gestures that we give off unintentionally. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reviewing. You are right. All animals are smarter than most people give them credit for.

I hear you, Yvonne. We have the same situation here as far as them understanding what we say and what we are doing before we do it. Cats are amazing animals and somewhat smarter than dogs. Example... two of our cat's would get on either side of our blind dog and guide her around the yard safely to do her job every day. They even communicate with dogs. LOL Well done. Nancy:)

That is so sweet. I had a similar situation but it was a blind cat. Everyone rallied around to help him when he needed it. Dogs are smart, too, and very sweet.

Lol. Of course he knows! They are so smart and intuitive. He probably has already checked the calendar, knew you would try to change the day and was ready for that. He probably knew that you would try to change the time also and predicted your very time. He also knew that you would try to act normal and the more normal you acted the more it confirmed to him that he was right. " She's pretending it's a normal day and nothing is going to happen - so it must be today!"
Lol. Animals are SO smart. Wonderful story.

I've thought of that, too. I think we're right. Thanks, Wendy.

Sometimes it's almost a bit spooky how smart animals are, how they seem to read our minds, anticipate what's next. Your description of your experiences with PC and the NEEDLE is well-written and enjoyable. "Furry magnet"--I like that.

Yvonne.
It's clear to me that the Kitty can read and one of the things he reads best is your mind. Try wearing an aluminum foil helmet on the days that you're going to deal with the shot. Maybe that will block your thoughts from getting to him. That's all I got.

Good idea. Never thought of that. He won't be able to read my mind anymore. Thanks, Robert. (We're both crazy. lol)

The foil hat should do it. HAHAHAHA

It's a great tale of a much- loved family pet that has got to know all the family comings and goings and knows cleverly where he fits in to the family rhythm

I don't doubt it at all. Dogs know too. They know if you are even thinking about giving them a bath, or if you're planning to take them to the vet. They also know when you about to head to the kitchen to get something they really like and they know how to manipulate you so you'll share it. i think animals can read your mind.

I think so, too. Seriously. Animals are smart. Thanks for reviewing.

You mad me smile here, we had a black cat who lived for 17 years called Jake, he always knew when he was due to go to the vet, even when it was an impromptu visit. How do they know? It is our own behaviour that gives the game away! Ha ha ha, a fun post, love Dolly x

I don't see how. I never alter my routine or behave in any way than I do any other normal day. Thanks, Dolly.

Dare I say it Yvonne- Holy Cats! That's one smart cat. If that's him in the picture he's a beauty too. Sounds like you've done all you can do to disguise your intentions. Too bad there isn't a pill instead of a shot. Good luck getting him his treatment.
Have a blessed day.

Pills are an impossibility in this house. Shots are easier. Usually. Thanks for a delightful review, Tom.

He does know!! I like how you wrote this with the refrain of "HE KNOWS" and then you show us how he really does know. It seems he's smarter than us and really does have ESP. He must feel that determination of you're planning something. Lol.
"Do you understand me at all," (maybe use a question mark here.)

I struggled with that question mark. I'll go back and put it in. Thanks, Helen.

It's completely up to you. If it's rhetorical and you never expected an answer, I would leave it out. But if I asked him, I'd expect an answer! 😻😊
