Hi Sally,
Terrific chapter, my dear! I could imagine the helicopters overhead, the various teams closing in on the Izard's cabin. But will Eugene be there? I'm guessing he won't be. He's too smart to be caught that easy. Same with Tony Alfanzi... the guards are too slack. He's going to escape while the trial is in full swing.
Sally Jeanne-Marie Law ... is that your real full name, Sally?
You do such a great job of writing this story. I don't see any need of corrections or improvement. You make it easy for your editor.
Nicely penned! Looking forward to the next chapter!
Big Hugs,
Kimbob

Wow, I am behind. It?s been quite a week. Thank you for bettering it with this wonderful review and generous stars. I?m so very blessed by you. That is a close rendition of my name but not quite. I?ve had my identity robbed, so I?m careful not to give out my full legal name. I?m glad you like it though because it?s pretty darn close. I appreciate you so much.
Sending along my very best to you and yours as always, Sally :)) XOs

As always, the flow is magnificent. You make it so easy for one to understand and absorb every word. The scenes you set are with clarity and observation. I can also hear the helicopter and see how it brought the stalks into submission.
I enjoy the stories you write and know what kind of talent produces this... Nothing short of professional.
You are the Best!
Marie

You introduce so many wonderful twists and turns in your writing, Sally. The reader never knows when it will happen until the moment a situation is read. I love not being able to predict things before they occur. Way to go! xo Janet

It looks like some people are about to get what they deserve. Glad to see it. They weren't as smart as they thought they were.

'I am' in French is 'je suis.' I think Anglais needs a capital.

Thank you for the excellent review. The translation is: [Hello, I am with the police of the Canton of Lafayette. Do you speak English?]?I use blind assist helps and I copied and pasted this from an online French translator. I didn't argue with the written translation although I thought the same.

Sending you my best today as always,

Beautifully written, my friend! As law enforcement closes in on Eugene Izard, Tony Alfanzi almost meets his Maker in a narrow brush with death, following a plot to kill him; meanwhile, King and Jackson are able to identify him in court.

Here's my only suggestion:

"That's Anthony Alfanzi," he said pointing.

"That's Anthony Alfanzi," he said, pointing.

I wish you really were a millionaire heiress! Or at least, that you had a dog like King :-)

Thank you for the lovely review and generous star shine! I?m so very blessed and honored. I wish I was a millionaire too. My early childhood was wealthy, but my inheritance was lost when my parents divorced. This is a wonderful way to take it back, I suppose, by writing it into my books. I?m rich in what counts: love, faith, and good works. Sending you my best today and love and blessings always,

Cigarettes aren't all snitches get in the pen, and I'm thinking it won't be long before you give us a vivid glimpse into what the problem looks like. LOL. Thank for sharing.

This new chapter brings us closer to resolution, but clearly there's still much to be done. Detectives Mike Lembowsky and Lieutenant Miles Jean-Baptiste, plus the FBI are closing in on Eugene Izard at his own family's house; at the Grand Jury hearing, King identifies Tony Alfanzi as your attacker; and Tony Alfanzi narrowly escapes being murdered by a corrupt guard, probably paid by Eugene. Each event was described in your usual fine detail with plausible dialog. I want to keep turning pages. Superb.

You are most welcome, Sal. I like the way nothing is simple in your stories in this series, as real life is not simple either. -- Mike

ouch! good thing they got the sharp object away....this kind of behavior is no good! and it is not safe! The trial has begun. Hopefully the trial will end the unexpected scenarios which led to the Calla Lily painting.

Wow, King can identify just by the cut-out picture of the criminal? I always thought they smelled more than they saw.
Glad that they are closing in on the hired killer. But it seems that Alfanzi has earned some points with the warden. But we don't want him to get away.
Another great chapter, Sally!

Yep. Both are good although a dog has a 100,000 times the sense of smell than a human. Sending you my very best as always,
