I like a lot what you write in here, many times we forget some of the most essential qualifications for true happiness, the simple love and companionship of persons who really live and comfort us in the hard times.

Yes, I feel very fortunate to still have family and friends at my age. I've lost a few, but I guess that is to be expected. I think it is very difficult to write a meaningful poem in so few words, but you have managed. Good luck in the contest.
