Piece of pie pending, perhaps?

You know what, Liz? I think Sarah is a witch! She was obviously stealing Scott's tomatoes for some kind of potion. Maybe a love potion? Scott better be careful or he'll be married by Christmas! And now the pumpkin. More evidence. I think she's just trying to get a rise out of Scott. And it wouldn't surprise me if she does offer him a piece of pie, with whipped cream on top. Have you ever seen her with a pointed black hat on her head?
"Can she bake a pumpkin pie, Scotty boy, Scotty boy?
Can she bake a pumpkin pie, charming Scotty?"

Nicely penned! Gotta hear more tales of Witch Sarah, methinks.

Hugs,
Kimbob

Sarah is in a class by herself! Pie unlikely.

I enjoyed reading this well written and interesting story.
The larger font size is especially pleasing.
If I were Scott, I would set up some surveillance cameras to
catch Sarah in the act. Maybe then she'd eat humble pie.
Thank you for sharing : - )

Shouldn't someone make an effort to find out why Sarah feels entitled to Scott's produce? She seems delusional, but perhaps she thinks she was given permission, in which case she should be set straight and sent a bill. Or gently guided to the closest psychiatric facility.

That Sarah is a real piece of work! She sure knows an easy steal when she sees one, and Scott is so patient with her. I'm glad he shares his stories with you, and you with us, Liz.

I think I predicted this possibility
Your friend should have been more careful and anyway Sarah is shameless specimen.i was wondering how your friend will react if she gives him a piece of her pie
He can give her a piece of his mind!

Oh no, she knows that will give her away. She will probably enter it in some Halloween contest-claiming he grew it-and win. But Scott already has her figured out. Sarah needs help. You did a good job with this little story, Liz. I believe speaking to her about her thefts and/or confronting her about the pumpkin would be useless. She is one weird character.
Respectfully, Jan

She definitely won't win a contest!

    Pie is unlikley.

Hello Liz.

Since this is a recurring problem and she is a repeat offender, I think it would be a great idea for Scott to purchase some concertina wire at the army surplus store. that would work quite nicely. Joe Biden gave the Taliban truck loads but there may be some available locally.

HAHAHA well done. This is a flash fiction! I think :)

I love the way you tell stories. It really draws you in. Like Norm Macdonald. I love it.

The close is Great. Like I said, it's a flash fiction. Few words, plot, twist and characters. :)

Scott should have a restraining order against the woman to keep her from coming on his property with intent to kill. I can't imagine Sarah having the diligence required to do the work it would take to carve up the pumpkin, cook, puree, etc. and make a pie. Maybe she'll expend the energy to make a jack o' lantern. If Sarah has children, she probably has taught them the art of vegetable thievery, and they're scouting out other gardens. So entertaining! judi

I'm figuring Scott shouldn't be counting on any pumpkin pie from Sarah. She's a taker, and those selfish types don't usually think about other any more on the holidays than any other time. Thanks for sharing.
