I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. This story is about perseverance. We must have patience that's for sure in whatever we succeed....a wrist break will heal slowly; if you are careful. I had a break many years ago.

What I really like about this chapter is that you paint a very realistic picture of a relationship, with all the imperfections; the kids not doing their homework, the coach trying to lean in and back up Katherine, and some romantic feelings weaving in as well. Super realistic dialogue as always, and it is even more impressive that you juggle multiple characters in the same scenes. estory

I so much enjoy reading your chapters. The characters are so lifelike when her son feels he can't trust her. I also like your dialogue that moves the scene along, and, of course, a good description of that kiss Gabriel made before leaving for the night. Looking forward to the next installation.

Hi Barbara, I'm so sorry you have broken your wrist just as you were going on your vacation to see your family, that's a bit of a blow.

Very good. They seem to be settling into family life and everyone is
(so far) okay with the assumed roles being taken. This is working out well like a Y14 Slice of Life anime. I wouldn't worry about the the Length. I think 1300 words is a good length for getting out needed details.
