I'm glad you explained about the character in the notes because I was confused at first lol. The title misled me: I was thinking it would have something to do with actual Jesus, like some kind of pun about him being resurrected or something, and then figured there must be a character in the show name Jesus since I haven't really watched it. I do like the poem though, the title just got me confused. you're syllable count is wrong though, because you have 6-7-5. If you remove "a" from the first line so it just says "badass warrior" then it fixes it to fit the 5-7-5 prompt. :)

Thanks for the helpful feedback .. I will edit.
In all honesty I am not a fan of zombies and I have not seen The Walking Dead either.
I love the actor who impersonated Jesus ( Tom Payne)
He plays the main character in
Prodigal Son, a series I?m obsessed with ( biggrin)
I wanted a pic of him in my portfolio so I read who he played in The Walking Dead and wrote this wee poem.
Glad my notes were of help.
Keep safe!

You nailed it! You were on point with the 5-7-5 poem guideline and had fun! The choice of the images you used was on point, too. Great job. Congratulations! I think I'll try some of these 5-7-5 poems myself one day.

Thank you so much for the enthusiastic review..
I?m not a fan of zombies but I am a fan of the actor Tom Payne who played Jesus in The Walking Dead.
I wanted a pic of him in my portfolio so I decided to enter for fun.
I didn?t expect to get a six star review , glad you enjoyed the read.
I read your profile ,welcome to Fanstory!
I became member three years ago when I wrote my first ever poem.
I am enjoying my time here for now.
I prefer the 5-7-5 format because I love the challenge.
In 17 syllables or less you have to say something significant.
Looking forward to reading your work
Take care!

An unusual write and I have no idea what these creatures do as I have never heard of the Walking Dead, but it sounds like they get their own way, love Dolly x

In all honesty, I have never watched " The Walking Dead" either. I'm not a fan of zombie films.
I watched a great series recently called "Prodigal Son " and the main character is played by the same actor (TOM PAYNE) who played Jesus in " The Walking Dead ".
He played Jesus for 3 years ...the story is about a bunch of survivors that are at war with "THE WALKERS" who are zombies.
If you have the chance, I do recommend "Prodigal Son " it's a great series ( 2019-2021).
Tom Payne is brilliant ..other actors in the cast are :Michael Sheen, Bellamy Young, Aurora Perrineau, Lou Diamond Phillips....
