What a sweet and well-rhymed prayer for the FanStory family! It is an asset to add this chapter to the prayer poems of Roy and Helen. Just one little suggestion for the 4th line - it does contain 8 syllables as with each of your others; however, and I think it's because of the way the syllables are accented, the rhythm flows just a little awkwardly (to me). Suggesting to change that line to:
"To see ways out for all those scarred"
It's an adorable poem and I love the artwork that you've chosen to accompany!

Chrissy, it sounds like you and I have a lot in common - a believer in spirits. You have described yourself very well in your poem. You summed things up very nicely in the last two lines.

I think your poem is wonderful and I'm glad you shared it. One doesn't have to be a part of an organized religion to be spiritual and to be a good person. I'm sure that the way we live our lives counts for more than what pew we choose to grace on holy days. Anyone would be blessed to have you as a friend.

Hi Mary, Thank you for your review and yes we can come from all walks of life with differing opinions etc but as long as we are a good caring person that's the bottom line i believe Cheers Chris

Your poem is most acceptable? There are all levels of religion and belief. I will not go to church for personal reasons, but a strong believer and will pray and work to help my friends. This is a lovely poem and wonderful.

Hi Sherry, Thank you and I believe you do not have to have any religion or follow any religious rhetoric, to be a good person and caring friend. Glad you thought my poem acceptable. Cheers Chris

Thanks Chris, for your thoughts and your compassionate reaching out and joining, but despite our stubborn resistance to prayer, I understand. So your kindly thoughts are still "prayer", we just don't want to put a name to it.
So thank you for these lovely thoughts and a beautiful poem. Blessings Roy

Hi Roy, Thanks for your review and input. Although I beg to differ, I believe that's what makes us good friends here, a mutual respect despite differences. As always Cheers Chris

That is a very true saying. Friends can be on opposite sides politically or have different religious views but still be close friends. And I know you're a compassionate friend as you gave loving care to all those around you and to your patients. Thank you for sharing, Chris!!

Hi Helen, Thank you for your review and yes we can be totally opposite in many ways including belief etc but as long as we enjoy each others company and perspectives with respect. that is what i think is the way forward. Cheers to you Chris

The very act of writing such a poem, expressing empathy and a sympathetic ear, shows you to be a friend indeed - and that should probably be 'in deed', as you put your caring approach into action personally and professionally (and creatively).

I think your poem is lovely, Chris, and your words are sincere and honest. Friendship offered is the greatest gift another can receive, and the one who gives, does so unreservedly. I love your poem, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra, Thank for your review and lovely words. I believe that it takes all kinds and we can disagree on many levels, but as long as we all respect and care for each other, and ones own beliefs, then that should be it. With Cheers to you Chrisxx

Your words were inspirational and very meaning, Christine. Between you and me, because of my background, I too do not have a religion but I will offer prayers that are really chants. I think I have learned that the magic word is prayers, lol. Very well done. Thank you so much. I loved the picture because it showed that being different can still be considered friendly.
