Aha! Evidence of skulduggery and a thieving intent to inflict herbivorous terror on Scott's treasured vegetable soup potential, "I see it all" said the blind man, great take Liz, blessings Roy

Sarah is incorrigible. I suspect Scott puts up with her because he enjoys telling me these outrageous stories--this one I witnessed!

She tore her rake up trying to drag it to the fence? I'd like to have the lady tarred and feathered, and I only know about her through you. I would be furious if she stole tomatoes from me.

Pumpkin power to Scott! I can imagine everything happening as you wrote about it in this well-presented posting. Property-pinching neighbors rank negatively on the list of haloed acquaintances! lol

Very nice story. The stalker scares the heck out of me, especially her stripper shoes, lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope the pumkin makes it to Halloween. The man needs to move or actually build a taller fence.

We have raised, wheelchair beds and I have my Pots...we have our share of Sarahs. Brazen inelegant thieves with no consciences...We, gardeners, revere our paltry crops and I loudly announce what sheer tortures I will inflict for theft!

Elizabeth, This is another very interesting short story about the abduction attempt of Scotts pumpkin. You used great descriptive words and very neat imagery from the art work you chose. Another enjoyable read my friend. love and blessings, Teri

So it looks like attempts have been made and failed. If I were Scott I would pick that pumpkin and store it inside, in a New York minute. The chances are not great that it will be there the next time you look.

Well, the nerve of that woman to do what she is doing and has done in the past. She sounds like someone with a screw loose. I hope she didn't damage the pumpkin. I wonder if there is anything he could do or say to make her stop NOW.
Respectfully, Jan

For the stake of an outstanding story, the pumpkin and just because she so deserves it......my suggestion:

I am sure in the Halloween section, Scott could find motion-detecting creatures that would howl, scream or simply make lots of noise when she tried to approach the garden. A few scares in the night might give her a heart attack and send her packing.

Just a thought!
Hugs, Carol

Scott is so enjoyable. He'd best keep an eye on that pumpkin. Sarah is a trespasser, and Scott should report her as such. Your description of her customary outfit adds to the picture. I suspect Scott secretly welcomes these intrusions as fodder for entertainment. Maybe he's planning to write his own stories? judi

He does provide great material. You should work at putting him in a script. He reminds me of the old radio shows, where the main character would always have oddball characters drop in each episode. judi
