A ghostly muse to inspire a struggling writer and give them the magic they once possessed and need to get back. Begin with the truest sentence you know and let the games begin and the magic flow...

We writers are often seeking the elusive muse! Who of us hadn't stared forlornly at a blank screen? You posted as fiction so I'll take you at your word....to personify Thalia
enables this ethereal dialogue I found so intriguing! Thalia? Daughter of Zeus, right? Muse of comedy and idyllic poetry? Send her my way, will you?

Hi, Karenina(Beautiful name!), Thank you so much for reading, all the stars, and your educated comments! Yes, that's the reason I chose that name, I do have a lady who speaks to m only in dreams. Sometimes she has me act out the story so I get the real emotions, helps me write it down from the characters viewpoint, not mine.
Hey, next dream I'll ask her to pay you a visit, but you'll have to get up while it's still dark, and have your screen in front of that window.

This was a great story, well written. I felt like I was there with the writer. Sorry I'm all out of sixes but there are so many written works that deserve them and you never know when the next one will pop up. Keep up the good work, it was very entertaining.

Blessings.

This is an engaging story. You write very well. I don't believe in literal muses, but it does make for a good story. I do enjoy fantasy.
The muse here seems to know a lot about John, the person she was there to inspire. I have one suggestion:

"Yeah, sounds easy, but-"
-->
"Yeah, sounds easy, but--"
[just needs a longer dash]

You chose a lovely photo to go with your story.

Hello Irishauthorme,
Nice piece of General Fiction having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme phraseology, enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and beautifully depicting its theme and the writer's helper - Thalia, the Muse!
Flawless and INTERESTING.

Wow, All those stars, Thank you, I am humbled! To be honest, I had some help with punctuation and grammar, from experts here on FS.
Thalia was one of nine Greek gods over prose and verse.
    Thank you again, irish

This is a novel take, having a muse not just inspire the story but be the story. Personifying the muse to the point where you engage in actual conversation is also an interesting perspective, and you did a nice job on the detailed description of her appearance. This was an enjoyable and optimistic story.

Hi Michele, thank you for reading, your in-depth review, and all the stars! I may be a little crazy(Who isn't?), but I do have a lady who talks to me in dreams and solves some of my writing difficulties. Think everyone has a muse, just have to find her.

Good for you, and count your blessings. My muse appears to nap during the day, and only show up in the middle of the night, to keep me up and typing when I should be sleeping.

Wow, Irish! This is so well written and fascinating! I really enjoyed reading it and was so impressed with the way you developed the story, creating a vivid scene that any reader could clearly see. You also managed to reveal the emotions that John was experiencing, and the warmth of the muse as well. I loved this! The only editing suggestion I could think of to offer was this: "That is up to you, John, (insert period here, and capitalize When) when you are ready to share your life, you will reach out and someone will find you." You have done an excellent job editing this story. It was just about perfect. I like seeing that! Great job and definitely deserving of six stars. I hope you will share many more stories. ~ MM

This is very intriguing and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure whether or not it's fiction. I have a muse that I've never seen or even talked with, but I know she is there because she helped me write the book I just published. Every time I would get stuck and not know what to write next, it came to me while I slept. Perhaps it was only my subconscious at work but I prefer to think it was my muse. This was well written and enjoyable. Nicely done.

Thank you for sharing with us. I enjoyed reading. I haven't seen your posts for awhile. I am glad you're posting again.

She laughed, "You will, someday." &
She laughed again, "What do you think, John? Can you not feel my hands? And you can call me Thalia, for want of a better name." (Laughed isn't a speech tag, it's an action tag so needs a period.)

That was really good! I think my muse goes on holiday now and again, just to let me know I can't live without him. Lol. I liked the description of your muse, almost that of an angel. At least she got John writing again, that was the main thing! Well done, Irish! :)) Sandra xx
