I enjoy the thoughts going into this process associated with the concept of the fall season. It gets darker here at Winter earlier too. We experience heavy rain on the west coast of Tasmania.
Im not sure about moods getting moodier, moods become sullen perhaps? Great work.

Hi Jan,
Oh, you are in Tasmania? How lovely?you would be heading into Spring then. You are technically correct about moods getting moodier?just a play of words but your "sullen" suggestion is perfect. The Haiku Club event asked for humor so I tried lol
Have a great rest of your week :))

Haiku (shortcomings of fall), is short, succinct and a delightful hoot. With a minimum of words this talented poet has told it as it is. I very much look forward to seeing your next post.

Yes, moods are already getting moodier - especially since we are heading into another Covid winter. Hopefully we will all survive until the next equinox! Nice response to the club challenge.

A fun and funny Haiku about the shortcomings of fall. Nice play on words. My son lives in Alaska where the days really get short in the winter season but they make up for in the summer.
Well done.
Blessings
Janet.

Hi Janet,
Thanks for such an enjoyable review and thoughts! Oh, yes?I bet it is a real trip to live up in Alaska with their strange sun and dark cycles. My circadian clock is a little off anyway and if I lived up there, I?d really be in trouble ?lol
Take care in the season of the pumpkin and turkey :))

A short poem about Seasonal affective disorder. That is if taken without the cartoon. The form is followed. The poem reads smoothly.
Just a comment on possible interpretation.
A good read. Thanks for sharing.

Great Haiku, and great over-all presentation. We definitely don't need moods to get moodier. Where I live, temperatures remain constant from summer to fall, but days begin to darken earlier. Your Haiku expresses it well. Thanks for the information on Maxine's creator.

Hi LJbutterfly,
Oh, I see? must be a tropical type climate where you are? I love fall as it is the season of colorful leaves, pumpkins and turkey? but the shorter days are kind of annoying lol
Thanks so much for an excellent review!
Take care :))

I'm so tired of hearing everyone complain about how hot it's been this summer and wanting it to cool off. Now look what they've gone and done. Tonight it's going to be down the forties where I live. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine poem, as they all are.

Oh Ric? I know, complain complain complain! We humans are never satisfied. If we can?t complain about the weather then what can we complain of?oh wait?what about another fall and winter with CoVid or the price of milk, bread and gas and and and?
Wow, you live up in Minnesota, is it? In Texas it is really cool here, currently 54 with a high of 84* today. So nice.
Thanks for another great review and looking forward to reading your latest post?. Looking now.
Take care, Ric,

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Texas has had more than its share of rain and weather changes this years from what I've been told. But 50s at night and 80s during the day sounds ideal. :-)

It is?only a high of 85* is so welcome after nearly 100* last week?and humid.
Have a good one, Ric

Since the weather does not change significantly here in Pomona CA. my biggest complaint about this time of year is the early darkness. I totally agree with grannie, if it gets dark any earlier, I might just as well stay in bed. That cracked me up. Good one.

Hi Nomi,
Hahaha! I know, Maxine always cracks me up too. Oh, it must be nice to have a nice even temperature year round. I love fall myself, but shorter days make me feel hurried somehow?as I find myself trying to fit everything into the few hours of daylight lol.
Thanks, Nomi for another great review and thoughts!

Yes we humans need the light to motivate us to feel alive and get on with life, we have a sense of hibernation in the winter and our mood takes a nose dive, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Hi Dolly,
Oh thank you kindly for your thoughts and lovely review on my silly Haiku. Yes, a nose dive seems inevitable LOL. Bahamas here I come? I wish.
So my backyard chair will have to do, or my fall garden? You might find me sprawled out among the autumn Damask roses and pole beans basking in the fall noonday sun ?. if you do, don?t say a word :))
Have a great week, Dolly
