Great comment on the change that fall brings. The days do get shorter all of a sudden it seems. The weather here feels like summer but it is dark so early. Well done on this

Hi Anne,
Oh yes, the fall Equinox has arrived bringing our first days of fall and with it progressively shorter days. Less sunlight can bring on a bit of the blues but there?s pumpkins, brightly colored leaves and delicious turkey to offset the mood :))
Thanks, Anne for another encouraging review and interesting thoughts.
Always,

Hi there, this is a beautiful haiku and it's very funny as well. I loved it. There's only one huge problem with it. A haiku is always, always written in lower case. If you changed that it would win the day. I'm surprised nobody has told you. Ulla:)))

Hi Ulla,
Thank you thank you! I will change is right away. I knew that and overlooked that important aspect of the traditional haiku.
Your review was detailed and informative, much appreciated! :))

This is more true than funny, at least, not like Haha what a humorous poem. So moods get moodier, that may be true for some while others love the autumn and winter months.
I love summer best and spring next. I love the sunshine and it's being light for most of the day. Thank you for sharing and for letting me share, as well.
Have a wonderful afternoon,
Jesse

Comment from Gloria ....
Oh Maxine always knows how to set the mood, doesn't she?
I think this is a terrific haiku, and the moos get moodier shows the brilliance of language in simplicity.
Definitely a top of the line work here, and I'm still smiling. :)

Hilarious, but true. I just hate that it gets dark at four-thirty in the afternoon. So, we have less than ten hours of daylight. The sooner that is over, the better. I'll never get used to it.

Hi Ralf,
I want to thank you for such an amusing yet encouraging review and thoughts! LOL, I?m with you?the short days play havoc with my circadian rhythms?. We need sunlight to make us lighter in spirit? they say Vitamin D helps a whole lot in the amount of at least 5,000 IU daily.
So pleased my silly haiku gave you a chuckle :))
Have a good weekend, Ralf

I love this humorous haiku, Senyai. It is clever and amusing and meaningful all at once. It is also very nicely presented. I think it is deserving of six stars.

This illustration matches perfectly with your words and sets the stage for a chuckle. I enjoyed this funny Haiku. Many of us get a little blue with the short days. Nicely done.

Hi Roof,
Oh thank you so much for a great review and thoughts? yes, the shorter days do make for less sun and darker dispositions Lol

This is a very cute, funny, but so true haiku you have penned. Sometimes it feels like I just get o.k. with the time and then it changes again! You used great words and very nice imagery. love and blessings, Teri

Hi Teri,
Oh thank you so much for a sweet and encouraging review and thoughts!
Yes, I?m with you, Teri! Daylight Savings Time is looming on the horizon and that will bring ANOTHER change after we?ve just acclimated to the shorter days and less sun. Lol
Have a good day :))

Haha. I like the poem and the words in the cartoon to sum it up. This poem is a funny Haiku and syllable count is good. I also like the alliteration in the second and third line.
Well done.
