Great job with your rhyming 20-syllable line! And I like how you capture our attention by starting off with a rhetorical question. Yes, we can do so much more if we create and build together. There has been too much hate lately. Best wishes in the contest!

You make good use of a succint form to ask a clear queston and make a valid point. The batle cycle between creativity and destruction is too often skewed toward the latter when balance would be better

You are absolutely right! Your chosen words for this 20 syllable poem are well found and fit perfectly with those written by Hayao Miyazaki. There is a lesson to be learned in this one. Well done and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Shabamo,

This is indeed a wise and timely poem expressing the age old question, "Why not love instead of hate"? "Why not peace instead of war?" It is definitely worth asking but man's condition is the answer. We are fallen beings and must continually strive to do the right thing, what we know in our hearts is right.

Your excellent poem is a mighty call to join together to achieve strength in the Good Cause for tolerance, love and compassion. To create instead of destroying.

Always,
Senyai

Humans are smart, creative, talented, and talkative creatures, and their nature is something that nobody can define clearly. Our nature is completely different from the rest of the creatures in this world. So, let's live a purposeful life of leading a happy life. Your poem is a powerful reminder. of this. Well done. Good luck!

It is something some individuals have made an art out of and they do assemble their own team to help them destroy.
Fortunately there is always a force who seek the opposite and will stop at nothing to end the destruction and create a better future.
It is a great contest entry and should receive many a good and interesting review. Good luck!

I liked the author's train of thought with this poem. The author's words are engaging, meaningful, peaceful and creative. I pondered on creativity
and all that we can do together to make the world a safer and better place.
The artwork goes well with these words and theme of this poem.

Very powerful reminder in these times of division and hate that we are destroying rather than creating and building both our peace and growth in our lives.
Very well stated.

I'm with you there, Shambo... I've just bought some land and will build a little house there.

However, I could probably still think of a couple of people here and there to flagellate... as horrid as that is... (and this coming from a white lady) I'd like to call out some heads of the KKK for the receiving end for a change... you know... someone a little deserving of the honor...
I'm not going to go any further with my suggestions as they would probably get me kicked off the site. lol

The answer to that is simple. the urge to create comes from our Grand Creator Jehovah God. The urge to destroy comes from God's enemy Satan the Devil. These two wills have been at war since Satan convinced Adam and Eve to rebel against the one who gave them everything any sensible person could ever desire. Our earthly parents lost sight of the promises and condemned us their children to a death sentence that would cause God's son, Jesus Christ his own perfect human life.
