-Thanks for sharing
your note and poem, jaybird.
-You wrote a very good poem
showing your feelings about
life lessons, and how some
you learned from, and others
you don't care to dwell on.
-That is a good philosophy.
-I like your attitude in the
closing verse and couplet.
-Take care and have a
great day and week ahead.

I love this poem. It gives such hope that death may not be that final after all. I look forward to many more poems from you Jaybird. They are all so sincere.Love. Jen.

You have a realistic acceptance of life, looking back. But you always finish with a positive note, looking forward to your tomorrows. Best wishes for all your tomorrows.

May your hope be answered in the affmative!
I see so many in their seventies, one foot in the grave... speaking of their life in past tense! You welcome each new day! Your writing is a testament to your determination to sick the marrow out of life!

I like this poem very much. You have an excellent rhyme scheme and easy rhythm as well as an important message for us all. It is easy to dwell on the past until we drown ourselves in tears. It much better it is to learn from the past, let it go and look to the future. It isn't always easy though. I think your poem is poignant and beautiful.

It sounds like you have lived your life well with a mix of ups and downs and wins and losses, but in the end you survived it all and I certainly hope you reach that 100th year, as you deserve it, and will all be celebrating with you, love Dolly x

Jay I like how you are telling us that
The past is o'er, I cannot dwell,-
Just hope there is much more to tell (as you are one approaching One hundred.

A great peek into your life. Thanks for the privilege. I hope there is "much more to tell". Your sonnet here is well crafted. Glad to see that "overall life has been great".

It is possible that you will make it to 100. I like that you are anticipating whatever is ahead of you. At your age, you have experienced much both good and bad. Let's hope the next part is all good.
