Hi Cogitator,
Oh I like this! Yes, you are spot on! Hoping 2021 can see us all give up the farce and join hands as your excellent poem advises. You summarized the past 2 1/2 years well in your lines and it would behoove us all to give it go!
Enjoyed your poem in all its word gems that flowed down the page so smoothly :))
Always,

It is a well written poem with some impressive rhymes offered up. the content is relevant to the here and now. Man's ability to panic and allow darkness in when threatened is inevitable and expected unfortunately.
BUT we do normally come together in the end and move forward as one.

Cogitator: wonderful rhymes and messages for the world
to love one another. We need to repent, return, and have a
revival of love. We can trust Jesus to blast this covid away.
Enjoy your family times together. flylikeaneagle - nancy

Hi Cogitator,
I really liked this poem...it says a lot of things that we should all do!
I only have one thing to suggest, and that is the use of the word, "mother" twice in the second to last stanza. Perhaps if you changed the last line to read, " We must nurture our earth together" instead? Anyway, just a suggestion. I love the poem! Well done! :)

Great exhortation for this divided world. Yes, we are the same and we must work together to stamp out hate. And leaders in Congress should model working together and "remove blindfolds." Thank you for this uplifting forward look to a better world!

Hi there poet, indeed this is a work to be proud of. Your rhyming words do not appear to be contrived and deliver some strong messages, especially against racism. I enjoyed reading it. Giddy
