Birds are so smart and Bruce has demonstrated how intelligent he is. He has adapted to his disability. Excellent story here that has much to teach the world. Bruce's story shows how those with disabilities can survive and adapt to their situation.

The animal world doesn't waste time on self-pity, but get on with whatever need to be done. We can learn a lot from them. Thanks for reviewing.

Thank you for introducing Bruce. It proofs that not only he has the intelligence to pick the right pebble and adapting to his impairment.
He is a good ambassador for those who face physical challenges.
Regards
Mary

He certainly is. Thank you, Mary.

I did review the video. Any questions of his intelligence should be put to rest. He not one finds the right pebble, he figured out how to use it as a tool.
-
Yes. He's a smart bird!

Hello Yvonne.
It appears that Bruce is smarter than the experts that commented on him. He knew which Pebble to use, and the experts said it was random. Perhaps they are the ones with the bird brains. Lower forms of life aren't into whining as much as they are into Surviving.

So true. People underestimate the intelligence of the animal world. We could learn a lot from them. They don't waste time on self-pity, but get on with whatever it takes. Thanks so much, Robert.

You're welcome Yvonne.

What an amazing little bird. How tragic that it lost it's beak, but what a testimony to the fighting spirit, the will to live. Thanks for sharing this. Have a blessed evening.

Startling accomplishment for this resourceful creature. Gripping story, with fascinating details of how he adapted to the loss of his beak. Fine choice for the theme.

I love this story of this little kea that has adapted and still is able to survive, with help. Years ago I picked up a baby lorikeet parrot with a deformed beak, I think he'd been tossed out of the nest. With our help, he eventually learnt to feed himself and when we left Adelaide we gave him to a wildlife park for their 'injured' aviary. Your story reminded me of our little bird. Nice read Yvonne.
cheers,
valda

How sweet of you. We had a duck on a pond near me that had lost his beak. I had a vet lined up to make him an artificial one, but could never catch the duck. Thanks for reviewing.

What a very clever little bird indeed is Bruce, aren't we a little arrogant thinking we know intelligence, when really, we are full of pride, Bruce deserves to have servants, hang on, he does, beautifully written Yvonne, blessings Roy

I agree. Animals don't waste time on self-pity like we do. They simply get on with what's needed to be done. Thanks, Roy.

That?s right.

We are very proud of Bruce here in New Zealand. Thank you for bringing details of this disabled bird's special abilities to wider attention. He is a great ambassador for the power of initiative and adaptability, while keeping in good humour and entertaining others.
