Hi Carol,

Oh, I am like you. I wish I had known August too! But his honest and revealing poems are there to read in his portfolio and I did shed tears as I read through most all of them posted there. A quiet gentle soul that loves his daughter Amber and his whole family with all he has. I am sure his journey is still going on but only in a little different realm now.

This is a beautiful tribute to a fellow poet. I didn't have the honor to know his work, but from what I read of him in this book, he was very special.

Your words are loving and spiritually healing.

Godspeed to this 'Carpenter for Christ'...who built orphanages, shelters and worship centers. He is surely in a place of healing now where his soul is forever free.

Alas, I have no sixes left---but then again, this deserves so much more than mere virtual stars! This is personal and heartfelt and sums up so much of what I know I felt as I read through August's portfolio yesterday! Stunning tribute my friend. I pray his spirit is smiling down--forever free from earthly woes and in the loving arms of his Creator!- I am certain this will be of comfort to Amber and all who loved him!
