I did not have the pleasure of knowing August or his work, but tribute poems always move me. This one especially is a moving poem, filled with beautiful sentiments. You astound me by the time you find to read everyone's contributions to the wonderful community tht is FanStory.

I am basically homebound, except for medical tests and appointments. I find great joy in reading as many offerings as I can. I had not read anything of August's...but when I heard of his passing I went to read him. Our words outlive us. His family, his daughter Amber, can be very proud of him! You honor his memory with this six. Thank you! Karenina

he was a kind man...and humble to all who knew him...
he truly had a talent to write...and I wish more on here would of read his poetry...

Hey. Never knew him...check out his work. Mostly free verse and all powerful! I never got to read him before he passed. This tribute is n appreciation for his words that live on, and for his daighter, Amber.

I was floored by his work...it swallowed me whole! I began in 2013 when he joined and just kept reading... My heart breaks for his daughter, Amber...I pray she finds solace in how, even now, her father is moving hearts and minds!
You honor August with this six, my friend! Thank you.

You are very welcome and deserving, Karenina, as well as August. I forget who mentioned it, but Amber would like to make a book of her father's work. I wish I had gotten to know him more, but he didn't post all that often, and he occasionally reviewed my work, but even with that, I got a sense of his kindness.
