Oh, my goodness, This is so very touching. How wonderful of you to pay tribute in this way. I am new to this community and have not had the privilege of reading any of August's pieces yet. Thank you for including a portion of one below. Your words are peaceful and beautiful. I know he is pleased, and I believe you will meet again.

A poignant and beautifully written eulogy. I'm not familiar with the work of crzypntr, but you have persuaded me to take a look at his portfolio. I add my condolences to yours.

If anything I wrote will send you to August's work, I am happy. I am certain his daughter, Amber, will be happy to know this as well!
Thank you,
Karenina

lovely tribute to a fellow writer and friend unmet. You express the sorrow for the loss and for the lack of meeting someone that your respected and had grown fond of very well. The dove is a lovely accompaniment to a farewell.

Thank you. We are all connected in this world. As writers, as humans. Reading Augusts' work brought that home to me. I wanted to let his family know, even posthumously, his work is moving people.--Karenina

This is a beautiful tribute to a fellow poet who was special to many, and who had left us recently for heaven. I did not have the honor to know his work but, by the way you speak about him and by the excerpt of his poetry you cited, I can tell he was exceptional.
A beautiful and heartfelt paean that truly speaks to a reader.
Your poetry is framed in blue--
pristinely etched upon the page.
I've read, August, pieces of you--
Your love, your joy, your pain and rage.
Well done, Karen!
P.S. By the way, you have a typo in the spelling of his site name in your dedication. There is no period in his name, it is crzypntr, not crzy.pntr

Thanks Yelena. I did not have the honor to know his work while he was alive, either. That is my loss as I would have liked to have told him I found his poems moving and powerful. Memorializing him felt like the right thing to do. Especially for his daughter, Amber... I will check out the typo. I believe on his site page it appears with a period where I inserted it. Still, I will double check and correct as needed. Thanks for reading!--Karenina

Your smooth poetic flow and use of words captured our beloved poet's soul. "Yet words last for eternity" is a perfect line and so true. Your poem pays tribute to one of the best.

Thank you. I think we all write in order to express ourselves in the hope our words will be, in some way, our legacy. Certainly this was true for August, as his words only came to me after his death and I was very moved by him. Karenina

Thankyou. It was a post he'd made in 2013 and yet it struck me how telling it was about our transient time this side of heaven and our hope that our words live on. He was a real talent. I hope Amber gets some comfort from all who are writing in his tribute book.--Karenina

As will I. I did not know him either. Such a big site we cannot connect with everyone! When I heard of his passing I went to read a bit and found myself captivated. My condolences to his family and to all who knew him here on FS, as well!--Thanks, Karenina

My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Grief comes in and out of our lives, in some shape or form, more than we would like in life. It's hard to know how to navigate our feelings in the midst of such immense change, I knew him as a very talented Fanstorian. A loss to us. RIP August!

I am so pleased you knew him in life. I am blessed to have discovered his talent only after hearing of his passing. Yes, very talented and with a daughter who is grieving him I hope this tribute book brings her some comfort as she grieves. Thanks for reading this!--Karenina

Hi Karenina,
Oh, this is an eloquent tribute to August which I share your sentiment exactly! I did not meet August except in a review of his poem posted last month.
Your words, so humble and dear are jewels that glisten off the page, a fervent meeting of minds here on FanStory where we find comfort in validation and friendship.
I will read more of his beautiful poetry before I post as you suggest.
This is a god sent message to his family, Karenina :))
Always,
Senyai

Yes, Karenina! The poems will live on and speak to us all. August seemed a deeply reflecting and spiritual man. I wish I had gotten to know him, too and share some thoughts together.
Take care!

Yes, I share those feelings with you, Karenina. He will be missed but as you said, his words live on. His family can take comfort in that. His daughter, Amber is a marvel, isn?t she?
