What a beautiful tribute. I had not met August, but the tributes I'm reading have made me regret that. Nor do I recall reading his work but, as you say so eloquently, "Yet, words last for eternity--So many hearts you've yet to fill!" I'd like to think he's smiling down from heaven as he acknowledges the number of lives he's touched.

I hope his daughter Amber feels the love from FanStory to her as she deals with the loss of this man. I also did not read him before his passing.... But upon hearing of his death I went to read his work and found myself captivated...read every single poem! Thanks so much.

I joined FanStory in 2020, and did not know August (Crzypntr). However, your poem is a captivating tribute to him, filled with understanding, love, and admiration. Your heartfelt words provoke mourning for the loss of a great poet.

I joined in 2007 and still had not come upon his work...and he joined in 2013! It is a huge site and there are so many we may not interact with just from the size of the group! When I heard of his passing I went to read some of his work...and stayed until I'd read all he'd posted. I regret never having been able to tell him how moving his writing was. I do pray he's looking down from heaven and smiling now.--His words are a legacy to his talent!--Karenina

Thanks so much. It is a testament to August that through his work I felt close to him and truly moved by his passion. His writing is a living legacy which I hope all will read.
