So, Cassidy is willing to reveal that she is still alive, in order to find Annie.
If Sofia will eventually speak, it seems this would be a viable approach.
There is a lot happening that is mysterious regarding Mason. Why is he at his cabin? What a goof-up that these two did not recognize their boss.

So, Cassidy is willing to reveal that she is still alive, in order to find Annie.
If Sofia will eventually speak, it seems this would be a viable approach.
There is a lot happening that is mysterious regarding Mason. Why is he at his cabin? What a goof-up that these two did not recognize their boss.

it looks like the pace has slowed down. The characters must be trying to catch their breath and plan their next moves. With that knock on his head, I hope Mason hasn't got a split head. Maybe a split headache! Hope to see more action in the next chapter. Cheers!

This is a well written chapter. But after the crescendo before, things seem to be slowing. That Miguel thinks something in the cabin brought Mason there is a bit odd. But I guess, there must be something, for Mason to just walk in, without a care, knowing the two men were there.
No helicopter searching the area the Land rover went missing. No roadblocks. Are These FBI off the books?

I think it might just work when Sofia sees Cassidy. She'll be worried sick Cassidy will do or say something to put her in prison for purgery. I laughed out loud when they hit Mason on the head with that heavy pan, it would have killed someone less thick headed! I hope we're there when he comes round, that'll be a fun conversation. Hurrah! I thought about Mason's head and him dying, but no one has mentioned it yet...I think, like you, they are too happy to see him get what he deserves.
Mason thinks Annie was left in the basement so he doesn't know if she is dead or alive. He knows Sofia didn't make it with the papers and the money...so I've not thought it completely out but something besides money needs to be hidden in the cabin (something big) maybe a gun with his fingerprints that links him to a murder????? and lots of money or a fake passport since his is in the hands of the FEDS. Any ideas? I think Miguel needs to find it before Mason though. Open to suggestions?
