Marriage before baby: for shame!10 total reviews

A martial union based on insurance needs! Shaky conception.... (of course pun intended!)
I don't know if there even is a code of behavior anymore!
Shucks, it could have been a combined wedding and baby shower! Let all those party decorations do double duty!
Seems anything goes these days!

Funny how they didn't want people to know they got married before THE WEDDING.
Many people marry for tax reasons. My 2nd time, I got married on Jan 1st--should have been Dec 31--better yet, shouldn't have been at all.

Sounds like they enjoyed getting married so much they decided to do it twice in the same year. To me, at least according to my marriage experiences, it's sort of like hitting your thumb with a hammer, nothing you should have to do twice to get the message. But with me, I'm a slow learner. I have to repeat every fu . . up more than once. Thanks for sharing.

We are living in an upside-down world where important things are ignored to the detriment of an easy peasy lifestyle. No sin, no foul, nothing is bad, everything is good. That cloud will go poof!

The world has definitely changed and continues to do so more and more as we age... I am floored by some of the things I hear and see from the younger generations. Boy am I old!

What I do not understand is why have a big wedding with all the fixings if 1. The baby can attend or 2. They have been together for years.
A small intimate wedding with the closest of family or friends is more classy.

Yes, they certainly have. I'm not sure why people find it necessary to have an expensive ceremony when they are already married. But that happened twice to one of my daughters. Married earlier at the courthouse and a big ceremony later. There was a time when you were shamed for life if the baby came first.

Amazing! No things aren't the same. I can't think of mush more to say on this one. I just got potato tacos instead of chicken....don't order potato tacos. Gross.

Thanks for the menu tip--I was just getting ready to place the order--you've spared me gustatory displeasure.

Haha. My husband wanted to get married in December for the reason of better tax rate. We have been married for almost 27 years. You can't tell someone is three months pregnant.
Well done.

So they did a civil wedding first for the health insurance and then did a formal wedding/reception after the baby came? I'm glad they had the health insurance coverage - having a baby is really expensive!
