Hello Liz.
Chuck learned at an early age that ironing is tough. It is especially tough when you do it on the floor. The concave creases in the pants made me chuckle. At least he wasn't late for the school bus so he didn't compound his errors.

True story! I never iron.

Me neither.

Hello, Liz...
Your post reminded me of long ago.... my 16-year-old daughter... she ironed on the floor in her bedroom (a towel spread out) and then after unplugging the iron, laid it down on the carpet. Nice iron imprint!

Hmm, it's interesting that a seventeen year old boy would be that particular about what his pants looked like going to school to begin with. lol If he was trying to impress someone, I think he failed. Thanks for the chuckle.

True story! I never iron.

This is a funny story. My friend married someone who was a officer in the Navy. She was used to ironing her own pants which had no creases. When she pressed his pants she went to a lot of trouble to make sure she got the creases out. It wasn't easy.

True story! I never iron.

Ha! Ha! Boys are boys! In school too, no boy cares much for the way a normal boy dresses. When I was in the hostel, the 'iron' man used to come only on Sundays. I used to fold my clothes and keep them under my pillow and the pants under the heavier bed. Decent output next morning!:) Interesting story Took me back 60 years. ! Thanks for sharing!

True story! POST YOUR STORY!

Lol. Poor Chuck. A blanket on the kitchen bench would have done the trick, or on the table. I guess 17 year old boys don't think of that! Well written, and fun to read.

My Chuck, true story.
Comment from Jay Squires
Is Chuck the same as your current steady? I think that was his name: the Trumpster. The only problem there would be his reason for racing out the door to catch the school bus. If Chuck is a kid, on the other hand, I've never seen a kid of bus-catching years who was that finicky about his attire.
How's it going, girl?

A child that wants to iron clothes, you dont find many of them theses days, ha ha. With a little bit of fine tuning and extra encouragement that child could be doing a whole families ironing : )) Yeah right, that ain't happening. This one made me smile : ))

That's funny. Here's one - good trick. Nothing to wear, everything in the hamper. No problem. Pick out an outfit, get a wet washcloth and throw them all in the drier with one of those little scented drier sheets. Voile! unwrinkled good smelling clothes. How do I know...hmmm.

Funny. I don't think the potato tacos topped runny Brie, but it's close.

Oh, so this was back in Chuck's school days long ago? I am impressed (no pun intended!) that he irons his clothes. I refuse to iron unless it is absolutely necessary. But the carpet could melt - at least some polyester fibers could...
