Poor Mary just sitting there and waiting while they straighten out everything else, but I'm thinking, and figuring that it won't be long before she get the good news from Liz. Thanks for sharing. It's always a fun ride. :-) Maybe that's not the right way to say it.

    Hi, my dear...

Can you believe we are closing in on the bad guys and the end of the book. I think I will most definitely miss our chats. I'll have to start thinking of another story. LOL

Oh, that was so good again! I was almost in tears when Liz came and gently held her mothers hand, I wanted to stay with her while they chatted, but I'm sure we'll hear about it. Allie and Cassidy's talk was just as interesting and very important to the plot, giving us more info. You do have a nasty habit of feeding me just a dribble at a time!! Now we have to stop Mason. I don't want him killed, I want him shot in both knees and then taken to a cellar and locked up with the key thrown away. Add a few rats to that scene, he should be happier with some of his family with him!!! I hope Sofia is stopped before she takes the papers to the plane, that will be the evidence to put him in that cellar, so we really do need that, Carol. Hmmm, I think Sofia will tell all if she finds out that her beloved son is dead. What an engrossing chapter again, my friend. I'll miss it when it's finished. BUT we're not there yet! Where is Annie?? Well done again, my clever friend!! Love and hugs Sandra xxx

I've been told I write like Hansel and Gretal... a few bread crumbs at a time. I am debating whether Mason escapes and lives for another story or whether he gets caught in the end...something diabolical of course. Sofia is running in the next chapter.... Wonder if she will make it to the plane?

I too will miss this story. It's been great fun. I have no idea what the next one would be.... And I do want to publish... I guess when I am done polishing, I should submit it for a SEAL and see what they say about it. I guess that's how you do it.

Glad you loved this chapter. You should be sleeping about now and I shall have another chapter waiting for you in the morning.

    Sweet dreams. Love ya, Carol

Carol,

Seems like everyone is starting to put things together but there are so many pieces to this crazy puzzle. That's probably why it worked so well for so long. Who would suspect such a crazy set of things going on in a sleepy little town, right? That's why they pick such slow and laidback places, I'm sure.

Some notes:
1.) "Stop shrieking, woman(,)" Mason snapped

2.) Sofia made the sign of the cross. "Si, (S)enor Mason."

3.) "It's (all right), Mary. Liz asked to see you."

4.) but I can't take it anymore today.
--> maybe delete 'it'?

5.) Jon--regardless of what happened, his death is a tragedy."
--> so Jon died??? And we missed it?? Wait - I gotta go back and make sure I saw all of that last chapter --

6.) She smiled(.) "You've had quite the day.

7.) Hank took his notepad from his shirt pocket and a pen and wrote "Cassidy's Thoughts."
--> Hank took a pen and his notepad from his shirt pocket and wrote "Cassidy's Thoughts."

8.) You didn't have any reason to doubt him." Emmy tried to ease Cassidy's doubt.
--> 'doubt' x2

Thanks - great work!

Begin Again, my this was an exciting chapter
There is one thing I missed what happens My question does Sofia
make it to the airstrip
This part I found very exiting---
--------------------------------------------------------
It's very possible, Sofia. Just empty the safe and hurry to the airstrip."

"Si, Senor Mason. I will go now." Sofia hung up the telephone, grabbed her car keys, and rushed out of the bedroom. Her home was on the far east side of the ranch, about five minutes from Mason's spacious house.

It looks like Mason is about to escape as. well as Migual's mother. I don't think you will let that happen This story is getting many questions answered and it sounds like he case will sooon be solved. I'm aways waiting for more.

We certainly are getting closer but there is a few more action scenes and some emotional things to take care of before we end. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

I am really worried about Sophia. Garth has to get to her before Mason does bad things. I really like this story.

She smiled, "You've had quite the day. (period after smiled, it's not a speech tag)

My first inclination that everything wasn't on the up and up started with the social security numbers belonging to deceased people. Mason told me that the government was allowing him to reassign these numbers to the migrants. (both 'that' need to be omitted. & up-and-up)

Aah, now Mary has been summoned by Liz, but Mary doesn't want any more abuse than she's already had. Meanwhile Mason has called Sofia, to tell her to open the safe at his house and take out all the papers, and money and meet him where a plane will take them all to safety, but will Miguel survive? Well done Carol. Another great episode, blessings Roy

I think we have a few more action scenes that might not be expected and also the connections with Liz, Faith and Mary. Getting real close to the end thought. I will miss my characters for sure.

Another excellent chapter, Carol. There are so many women who have been sucked in by Mason, including Miguel's mother it seems now. I doubt that anyone who's working for him would ever get what they expected from him. You've portrayed him well. A good read.

He's a smooth talker who doesn't follow through unless it benefits him...He's going to get a few surprises even if he thinks he's outsmarting everyone.

I feel we are closing in on Mason and the story is flowing to an end. It depends on whether Garth can get to Sofia before she boards the plane.
The warning her son gave her doesn't seem to be remembered.

She's been under the control of Mason for so long she doesn't waiver from his commands. Unfortunately, it might lead to an ending she wasn't expecting.

A very complete chapter and you could really end your book with this chapter from what I have gathered from it. You have a good way of keeping your characters active. I was unable to find any errors in either grammar or punctuation. Great job and I loved it.

Thank you, Annie. It is winding down, but there are a few important parts to tie up yet....rescuing the kidnapped eight-year-old girl, having the twins (separated from birth) meet each other, and capturing the bad guys. Thanks so much for stopping by to read and enjoy. I appreciate it very much.
