This sounds like a good game of swashbbuckling pirates Yvonne, always used to be a favourite with kids now I suppose they would play it online. Enjoyed your Villanelle. Cheers

Anyone who can write a villenell, (modified or not) is my hero.
You've done a spectacular job with this one. Your repeating line doesn't sound forced and the poem flows smoothly which is a compliment for a vilenelle.
Cute story with an even cuter ending.

Enjoyed your fun imagination poem. This time you used this very challenging villanelle form. I like that the boys use piraty/sailor speech. I'm sure she'll let them "take to the seas once more" in their room.

A Villanelle has always been a challenge for me. You have done a great job with this one. To do a child's poem in this form is an extra challenge. Usually things get a little confusing ion a Villanelle, but this one reads very understandably.
