hahaha ... loved everything about this! The title, the photo, the last line, and of course your author notes. Miss my old record player, but I can certainly crank up the radio in my car if something touches my soul just right :)

Glad you found my entry cool and fun.. that was my intent( wink) .

Finding a new needle was not easy , finished up having to go to Milano but pa bought two.
Pa passed away 4 years ago so now I play on my own .. it reminds me of him.

I loved listen to music in the car and if I heard an evergreen, I d put the volume up also.
(biggrin).

I can t drive ( I went with pa) so now if I have to move I take the bus ( which is now seldom due to the covid situation ) .

Ciao, poet: I can relate to your expression here. Let's just put it this way. The album disc that you have on now...we called a L.P. (long play.) Some of them had a half dozen selections on either side. We even got cool enough to get the players that we could stack several albums on at the same time. They would all automatically drop and play before we had to flip and wipe. We had no complaints from the neighbors...other than who could drown out the other. Of course when our parents came home...that was the end of the good stuff. Have fun, my friend. And save the, "Four Letter Words," for when you scratch one of your album discs. You got it wrong .. the word bitch is referring to the record player, hence to me in a way ..

Bitch and glitch they are both referred to the record player.

I meant that when its on full blast its like she s a bitch .. wild , a rebel kinda , having fun blasting

Bitch, here is like in this third /c definition from dictionary

c. anything memorable, esp. something exceptionally good:

Eg: That last big party he threw was a real bitch


I put an exclamation mark at the end of the title ..

I hope others don?t misinterpret my title ..

I had two other reviews and both seemed to get what I meant .. you can check their replies.

Ciao, poet: I understand that you were referring to your machine, when you said what you said. Take note that I compared your machine to mine in my review. I knew that you were talking about your player. My poem with the girl tooting her horn was only a humorous response to when you said that you didn't care about how the neighbors felt about how loud you blast your music. But it was to me...all in fun for a laugh.

I guess it seems tedious to young folk but I grew up seeing my father do it in the 70s and I continued

I find it actually relaxing.

I live in a small town which celebrated the end of Summer two weeks ago

The local baker who lives next door to me ( we are in the historical centre so houses are attached, every year gets his barbecue gear out for the local festa.

The smoke / burnt smell he produces is unbelievable.

I have no idea how it should be done but he clearly doesn t either ..

For hours I have to keep my windows closed.

Me , I might blast for an hour twice a year .. ( biggrin)

otherwise the volume is normal.

So I think we are even ( wink)

We had a similar one but gave it off when CDs became the norm .Now even that is not needed everything in the clouds.Reading this brought on nostalgic memories

This one was my father s , I inherited it from him .. I used to watch him play .. I find wiping , flipping etc a relaxing ritual.

I got my first mobile and PC in dec 2010 .

I have a very limited knowledge on how to use all the options available..

I heard of it but I don t know how it is used.
