Sipping salty air
inebriates my soul.
This is an exquisite phrase - most descriptive with your connection between sipping and inebriates. It would have been a great one line or six word contest poem by itself.
Your complete verse is enough for my review!

This is an exquisite phrase - most descriptive with your connection between sipping and inebriates. It would have been a great one line or six word contest poem by itself.
Your complete verse is enough for my review!

I hate that I have no more six stars left! When I come across a rare treat such as this, I struggle with whether to wait until Sunday to review when I get my cache of sixes again.
Virtual 10 on this! It is frankly perfectly written and presented.... The revelation of the last lines were inspired and perfect....I truly felt I was walking on that sandy foamy beach...while drawing in the salty moist air with the luscious warm sand massaging my feet. These kind of moments are such a gift and hover in time long past... they are so transitory in actuality but spiritually they imprint so deeply.
" Contentment fills my lungs
and I relax and wander
in that space between
warm sand and briny froth.
The moment is,
and I am...
it is enough."

Hello Senyai. I am really delighted that you liked this FreeVerse and that you bookmarked it. I struggle with FV because it is always so personal and needs to be part story and part poem. We are beginning a FanStory class on FreeVerse in a few weeks and I am looking forward to the challenges and instruction. Hopefully, I will be posting more FV very soon. This is a lovely meditative poem and I enjoyed reading it. You have great imagery and it flows very well. There is something peaceful about the ocean on a calm day that seems to draw one into another dimension all together where they are free to 'just be.' Well done.
