Hooray - she made it out and Detective Lembowsky was the one to find her! I like all the technical details you give like "gelatin lifter to extract the image." The discussion about wedding wear was cute and the reality of the scar is something to consider along with the fashion. I also liked that Ana was able to remember Scripture and to pray to help her in this dangerous time.

Thank you for the super great review and generous stars, dear Helen. I'm so very honored and blessed. I like to include my characters calling on the Lord in troubled times as it's what I do. I find that God has proven Himself time and again, and He comes when I call. Psalm 23 is my personal favorite.

Sending you my very best, and love and blessings always,

Love the zippy style of this. Wish I'd been following the story in previous chapters and wish I had a sixth star for this one. Nice variations in pace with the discussion of wedding attire!

This is another exciting chapter as this once cold-case story proceeds far beyond original expectations. I like the contrast between the first section's discussion of gowns and cake-tasting and the tension in the two sections which follow.

In Section Two, Federal Agent Ken Washburn's efforts to prepare Ana for safety and escape re both efficient and caring.

In Section Three, the battle between Ken and Eugene (plus his henchmen, if any) begins. We are left in high suspense when silence ensues. Ana follows instructions and escapes in plausible manner, and fortunately reaches the road just as Lieutenant Lembowsky arrives. Thus, we are left wondering whether Ken survived as well as whether Eugene is still a threat.

The quality of this story remains Superb.

Plenty of drama in this chapter! So Ana has been rescued - just as well the car came by just then! - but we are left wondering as to has survived the shootout! Gripping writing. Wendy

Running Blind~Chapter Sixteen
Sally Law, This chapter from your book.
Kept sitting on pins and needles. why---
when Ann was finding her way to the high way.
The part about the weeding dress made me smile.

Congratulations on winning a ribbon for second place in the Book of the Month. Can't imagine anyone else I would prefer sharing it with.

Now that was more than a little bit nerve racking, Miss Sally. Thanks heavens Analiese was able to follow instructions and found her way to the highway and safety but what awaits back at the house. It was quite the gun battle!

Smiles, Carol

Hello Sal.

Will it appears that Anna has escaped her immediate peril but the mystery remains is too how Ken is doing. The language is stark when the gunfire stops and the reader wonders what happened to him. Hopefully he subdued his attackers and is merely cleaning up the trouble. On the other hand he could be in great danger.

The suspense is growing with the shootout and Anna being found by the officers.

A strange woman standing in the middle of the road. And the detective pulls up to ask her if everything is all right? Duh, come on detective, if everything is okay, would she be standing in the road? LOL. I just got a kick out of that line because we all do it. Ask foolish questions. It makes the writing all the better. Thanks for sharing.

writing seems better when there is music playing; the story about Ana escaping is a question of whether she testifies at the trial or not. I have to refresh my memory as to who Ana is.....
