This is an excellent portrayal of a woman who has escaped a man who has sought to hold her back. I loved the last line of your piece. A well written piece of writing, I thought it flowed really well and I really enjoyed reading it.

There is a beautiful movie from the 70s called "An Unmarried Woman". It's definitely worth checking out. I remember as a young girl my dad took me to see it. The make character was a great man who respected women . I based this poem on my life though.

I really like this. It has a beautiful message of freedom and hope for women.
How long did it take and women are still fighting for equality in jobs and respect through the me too movement. This is a wonderful tribute to ladies in a world where anything is possible. Well done and thanks for sharing with us

So the way I read it she was in a situation like Billie Holliday and got out, she's now like the Statue of Liberty and a beacon of freedom. Very nice job. Stay safe and stay healthy.

The objective correlative of your work reminisces the protagonist's attainment of liberty occasioned by her going separate ways with her beloved.

The work highlights her burgeoning subscription for her newly found freedom.

The work earns its texture through its effective use of anecdotes reminiscent of sourced freedom attained.

Excellent work. Bravo.

I like this very much. You have captured the euphoria of a woman who is finally free and can taste it on her tongue as she sings. I really like the imagery and the power in this poem. Well done.

That is a very good strong and meaningful presentation of how a woman should have a positive attitude and as well as take control of her life. Be a strong woman. Nicely done. R56ma3 Susan C.

This donation by the French to the American people is there to remind them that America is the land of the free, but I reckon they need this reminder more than ever these days as the people are being manipulated and much injustice exists, love Dolly x

Didn't see this one coming! How refreshing this is and relatable. I love Billie Holiday's music, but her story is one of the saddest ever told. How I wished her this freeing liberty. Sending you my best for this marvelous poem,
