Lol! I loved the possible careers for your lounge kitty! He could have been an artist's model with all that posing in front of the mirror. But my favorite options were the "loan shark" or "podiatrist with a foot fetish."

This was well written rich in Theme as well as Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.

Funny about Gideon not moving for hours, like he was a stuffed cat. He certainly sounds like he was destined for the entertainment world, had he been inclined to work. My cats don't stare at themselves in a mirror, but they like to look out the window. Cats know when they have it made. Why should they work? Clever story. Yes, cats can act so entitled. I really do not see any of my cats working. Our cat Minnie looks out the window all day watching the wild life and birds outside. Thanks for reading and enjoying. Elaine

Well written and made me smile. My daughter who is 45 this year is single, no children but has a Rag Doll cat. He is big and beautiful with lots of character. He is fussy, lounges around, spoil to the point of absurdity and nips her to get her attention. Thanks for sharing. Franky
