A lot of energy in a few lines. I find that the next to last line seems to be unrelated to the rest of the poem. What am I missing here? I am also having trouble relating the blue velvet sky to the night sky, especially with no moon or stars.

Excellent imagery of the moon less star less sky.... Mysterious indeed. I love the color blue so you had my attention from the start...velvet blue brings visual and tactual sensations.
I love this phrase..."the truth is cold and flat like a heartless iceberg' I think of the truth below the water...cold and cruel. Well done!

This poem had some daring imagery in it, some unusual imagery that was imaginative and out on the edge, and it created a powerful eerie effect in the piece so I'm giving it a six. I liked that line "Deep and silent, it tingles with the unknown" and "The truth is cold and flat as a heartless iceberg." There is a harsh experience of reality here, the inscrutable nature of life, and the fact that reality can often seem heartless. Like the reality of this pandemic. Or war. And it kind of sinks you the same way. estory
