I really like this poem. It has interesting rhyme scheme and excellent imagery. Further more, which one of us hasn't felt such a need for a time out like you suggest. The world seems to make endless demands on us and now and then, just hitting pause is what is needed to rejuvenate. The picture is perfect for it. Really enjoyable.

I really like this poem. It has interesting rhyme scheme and excellent imagery. Further more, which one of us hasn't felt such a need for a time out like you suggest. The world seems to make endless demands on us and now and then, just hitting pause is what is needed to rejuvenate. The picture is perfect for it. Really enjoyable.

Here you go with another format. To me, this one is interesting because of the long-short nature of the lines. I do not have a natural instinct when it comes to alternating the length of the lines in the stanza. I usually take the easy route and keep every line the same. I like this format though. It gives the reader a break and gives some closure to points that you are making.
This is a good poem. Well done.

The format can feel awkward in the beginning, but once you get going it flows pretty easily. We do need to take a step back now and then to get refreshed these days. Glad you enjoyed this.
