This is a well written poem, from start to finish. You took an idea, that it's not possible to write an uplifting poem when your guy is not in charge, and then explained your reasoning with every line and stanza. Your poem flows and reads well, the language is very descriptive, and every rhyme is dead on. I'm sure you have been watching the news - although I don't know what MSNBC or CNN are saying, but I would be interested in your take on what's happening.

I'm totally with you!! Biden is a joke of a president. As you said, this did not have to happen. The only thing that Biden believes in is getting rid of anything Trump! No matter what everyone says, Trump put us first, and no, he would never leave anyone behind. Good luck with the contest!

A wonderful poem that I can truly appreciate. Our nation's in serious trouble and many would just rather look away. The most encouraging thing would be a visitation from God, I think. I'm ready to meet the Lord at any moment, but I think the darkened souls squatting in these polluted corridors of our leadership are in for big trouble. Until they change, it will be more of the same.
Your honest post is very encouraging, dear patriot. It means you still have heart, soul, spirit and conscience. I find that very uplifting.

Bless you, Sally! I am almost sick, I am so sad and angry. But that, of course, doesn't help anything. I think most Americans are praying for things to turn around from this total unAmerican chaos and humiliation.

Well, that was the point. Things have even gotten worse since I wrote this. What could be less uplifting than your country going back on its word? Being untrustworthy? Causing deaths of your own people and those who helped us, AND negating the 20 years Americans spent ridding Afghanistan of El Qaeda, who not only is back full force but has taken our planes, weapons, everything!
