Eeeek! All I can picture is that poor man eaten by alligators. I first thought he should have sat where he was, but since this was done to him execution style, it wouldn't have made any difference.

I'm guessing with the weather in New Orleans this morning the gators are swimming for their lives, and hopefully all the displaced people are safely sheltered or have found live boats. Thanks for sharing.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Hi Sally, this is a great continuation to the story and the plot thickens.
I just wonder what will happen next. If Fred is dead, then what about Annaliese Irving and Ken Washburn?
It's great writing, and I'm waiting to see what's next. Ulla xxx

And the plot continues to get thicker. I am wanting about Analiese Irving and Agent Ken Washburn. If Fred is dead are they next? This is a very good write.

The first cold snap of the year rolled into the deep south, turning the maple trees a brilliant red. (We've tried to grow maple trees in Texas. We planted two, one died, the other one is doing okay, but not great. Unfortunately, it never turns red in the autumn, only orange, and then just a few leaves. My husband and I both grew up in Illinois and truly miss the red maple trees in the fall. I'm surprised in Louisiana they would.)

I had a lot coming my way in the days ahead, including the wedding of Lieutenant Miles-Jean Baptiste and Suzy Fleming. In the meantime, I had to get my strength back. Today, I hit the treadmill with oldies playing on my headset. Jackson returned with a Green Thingy, as he calls it, to reward my efforts. The refreshing concoction of spirulina, kale, protein powder, unfiltered apple juice, and banana tidbits--always makes me feel better. We sat together for a while and took in the delicious fall day. (In this paragraph you switch from past tense to present tense and back to past tense. You might want to check it.)
