So that's where agent Fred is. It looks like someone has planned and followed through. The deed is done but to what end. Could this have been Eugene's work?

Thank you for the wonderful review and for catching up. Both mean so much, Ralf. My eyesight has been deteriorating and it's been a challenge to write, read and review. Hopefully I can get this book finished. Sending you my best today as always,

I had a feeling that Alligator Alley was not far enough to hide Analiese. Tony's guys would find her, and make sure she doesn't testify. Seems Sally and crew will be in the thick of things once again.

Just what we like to hear....gators....not a good thing! Lots of them, too. They can definitely stay where they belong. Your story has another crime in progress.....until the next chapter.

I'm sorry I'm so late, Sal, I've not had a good week.

This is bad news that Fred has been found and killed, that must mean they know where Analiese is. And that is even worse! Will Agent Ken Washburn be able to protect her on his own? I've got a bad feeling about this. Just when it looked like they had Alfanzi wrapped up ready for prison. Now Sal must be protected even more!! This is really exciting, Sal, I'll be ready and waiting this Sunday for your next part. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

Wow! Sally, it seems that Eugene discovered where the FBI are hiding Analiese Irving. And furthermore, it looks like he killed agent Fred Samuels, and tossed his body into a Louisiana croc-filled bog. Maybe he followed Fred's Range Rover back to the dilapidated cabin. In any case, I would have to assume, by now, he's killed Ken and Analiese as well. She won't be doing any testifying in the courthouse. Eugene is a professional killer, and won't be caught like Tony the Tiger was. Tony was sloppy.
Apple pie and ice cream! One of my favorites. But pumpkin pie is my personal go-to, with a scoop of whipped cream!
I can't read your story without thinking of the cleanup that's ahead of the poor people of Louisiana. What a mess down there! And hurricane season is just starting. What if they got hit with another one this fall? I recall, when I was a little kid, my parents decided to take my sister and me to the grandparents during a fierce hurricane that had wandered up the eastern seaboard to southern New Brunswick. I can remember them holding tightly onto us as they guided us into the car. (We didn't have a full basement then, just cement walls and a dirt floor. My mother's parents had a full basement.)
Nicely penned, Sally! After reading this, I can still picture that 15-foot gator lounging across the driveway to the old cabin. But I am also picturing the scene at the hideaway... the dead bodies of Ken Washburn and Analiese Irving.

Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you for the lovely review and super star rating, dear Kim. I wrote this while I wasn?t feeling so good. I had a reaction to the vaccine that went on a few days. This was the by-product. A rough week with our troops left in Afghanistan and the terrible hurricane compelled me to write on. My gift to everyone in spite of it all. When it gets tough, I pray and I write.
Sending you my best today as always and blessings for your week,

    Good Morning, Sally
I'm sorry to hear your second shot didn't sit so well. Our youngest son (Luke, Isla's dad) felt the same way. He was down for a couple of days. Now, they are talking about a 3rd shot because of these variants. While our countries are presently dealing with the Delta variant, new ones keep turning up... like mu and C.1.2
I have a feeling this pandemic could go on another couple of years. Yet, we are seeing a lot of people here in New Brunswick without masks. The populace seems to be throwing caution to the wind, just because they've had their 2 shots.
It was a rough week, wasn't it? We've got to be praying for innocent Afghanistan people who must resort to hiking towards Pakistan only to be stopped by the Taliban or other terrorists. Yes, terrorists! The country is in the hands of murdering bandits. That's all they are. (I'm ranting now, aren't I? Sorry about that. It just upsets me so.)
Anyway, blessings to you, my dear!
    your fan,
    Kimbob

Awesome chapter! I never saw the terrible death of Agent Fred Samuels coming by way of execution by gun shot and then by alligators. Wow! Creative writing at its best. I'm looking forward to what the next chapter holds.

You can't have a trial without some drama beforehand, now can we, Sally? I am glad you are out of the coma, but I fear this isn't going to be as easy as they thought. Gators and executions in the swamp. Dogs are on their way, but will it be in time?

Bravo! Smiles, Carol

Very good writing and interesting characters. So glad I found this series again. I hope you've been looking into getting this published. You are quite a good writer and are managing a large number of personalities very well.

Another superb chapter, Sally! Poor Detective Fred Samuels met such a grisly end, in the swamp -- all, no doubt, the work of Tony the Tiger. I'm glad Detective Law is doing well, and on the mend.

You're very welcome, Sally. Ida even left her mark on NYC, although she was limping along, figuratively speaking, by the time she reached our area. Our cable, phone and internet were off and on all day, and the building elevator is broken because of the flooding; we hope it will be fixed by tomorrow. I know that's nothing, compared to what some people experienced down South. We're praying for them.
Love and prayers, Mary Kay xoxo

Thank you, again. Ida has killed far more up north than in Louisiana. Wow! Flooding is very dangerous and so is lack of power. We had Hurricane Irma roll directly over us. Thankfully, not too bad. We had to leave our home for a week because we were without power. It was extremely hot. We lost $2k worth of frozen food and perishable items. Still, we recovered and God has helped us. Sending prayers up now. Love and blessings,

This is another strong chapter. I did not care for the Green Thingy so much, lol but that 15 ft. gator was a super touch...imagery at its finest. Perhaps Ana and Ken have something good starting??????? Sigh I am such a romantic. Smiles, Janet xo
