You are starting your book off strongly, with a solid poem about Faith and the strength of this no matter how difficult the conditions. As I have written myself 'blind Faith can conquer all'.

God bless you, Katherine, for reviewing all these chapters! Thank you for your lovely review of this beginning poem in my Journey of Faith. My husband and I are going through some tough times together (in multiple areas of our lives), but we're hanging onto the One in whom we hope. Love, Mary Kay xoxo

Thank you, Raul, for your excellent, detailed and encouraging review of my poem. With all that I'm going through, I'm very blessed that people are getting such a positive feeling from it, which tells me that it's God's love shining through. May He bless you abundantly!

Hello! I love your testimony! What an exciting way to tell the story of faith - to put it in a 'situation' that requires it. Nicely done.
And I loved the scripture you shared. I spent time in John 16 this morning and wondered if you'd have that in your 'credits'. I loved that it was there. :)
Thank you for sharing a unique look at faith in Christ. I loved it.
Best in the contest,
Blessings,
Deb

Dear Deb, thank you so much for your beautiful, excellent and encouraging review of my poem. I'm so blessed that it spoke to your heart, and that you found the scriptures there, which you had spent time in, earlier. Heart to heart communication is what we strive for the most, as writers, and our greatest joy. God bless you, my friend and sister. Love, Mary Kay xoxo

Your faith in God's love shines through in this well written poem. There is so much comfort in being able to turn to the Lord in times of trouble, your words get that idea across. Best of luck in the contest. :)

Overall I liked the poem, the flow feels off to me on the last two lines of the 3rd stanza. Small formatting thing that I am not a fan of is leaving each line capitalized especially when the poem has internal punctuation that contradicts that move.

Thank you for your excellent review and technical opinions. The last two lines of the third stanza were actually the only place where I didn't leave each line capitalized, despite internal punctuation! It may be possible that the flow is imperfect, as I prioritized the message of the poem, a heart cry to God, over the flow and formatting aspects. I focused on it for quite awhile, but finally decided that it had to stand, as it was.
However I am considering what you wrote about the capitalization in relation to the punctuation, and I have about 24 hours to fix it before the contest entries are final. I will take another look at it. Thank you for your help. May God bless you.

This is a beautiful spiritual poem for the Faith Poetry Contest. It is easy to tell it comes from the heart. You have also cited some meaningful Bible verses to accent your well-written message.

Thank you so much, Teri, for your beautiful review and for the five stars. I appreciate your encouraging, detailed and supportive comments, and that you liked the scriptures and artwork. I created the picture from a photo I took of a gnarly tree trunk. Sorry for the delay in responding.
God bless you too, my sister.

-Very nice artwork and
presentation, Mary Kay.
-A well written poem with
effective imagery and rhyme.
-I like the ocean references
in stanza one, how you
continue with it in different
ways in the poem, like
"I thought we sank..."
-At the end, you show how
you are "hanging onto faith"
and end with a very
good closing couplet.
-A good entry; good luck.

I really like your poem. Yes, we must hold on to Christ. He is our only hope in this world. I love any art of the cross; I remember as a child not being afraid of the black and white old Hollywood monster movies, because to back the monster away, you only needed to wear a cross around your neck. Great job!

Thank you so much, Amanda, for your excellent and encouraging review of my poem! I am inspired by your sincere fellowship in Christ. I created the art by enhancing a gnarly tree trunk photo and adding the cross. I'm so glad you like it :-)
Great story from your childhood, about faith in the power of the cross!
God bless you, my sister.

Hi Carmen, I love your exceptional, inspirational and supportive review! Thank you for the six stars. I'm sorry for the delay -- I had some family issues, as well as doctor appointments this week.
I really appreciate your thoughtful comments in support of the whole idea of really trusting God, when we're going through deep waters. Your heart is completely in the right place, and it encourages me very much. I love your profile picture, and its beautiful symbolism. May God bless you in everything.
Love, Mary Kay xoxo
