This certainly provoked a smile on my lips. Nice and cheery - a veritable breath of fresh air. Just what the doctor ordered! I really liked the image - well-chosen!

Thanks for joining in the book to cheer dear Karenina. I remember as a kid reading those Roses are Red poems. I hadn't even seen violets then as they don't really grow in the tropics.

Dear Debbie, Not original in the first two lines, but still it's a nice poem about thinking of someone. Is Karenina of Fan Story sick or injured? If so, I am thinking about her too. Dove

    Those Roses are Red poems lend themselves to a smile. And I just wanted Karenina to have a full book. I'm not quite sure what happened to her. I do know that she is having a terrible recovery from surgery or an accident. I think people are just trying to encourage her to keep her spirits up at a difficult time in her life.

The author is correct the "Roses are Red" is pitful and meant to provide a smile. I believe the goal was accomplished. And for that reason I will render an excellent rating.

    You are welcome. Violets are violet, but blue rhymes with you. I guess it is poetic license.
