HI Kace, those poor men having to be chained like that...having to watch those girls being raped...I would have stuck that bone where the sun didn't shine in those white men...let them see how they liked it...it's not right what they had to live like...no one should be a slave to anyone...
your story is very well told sweetie pie...and your picture breaks my heart...very well written my sweet friend...love you much...Linda xxoo

The power of magic is only supposed to work of the victim believes it. Does this story prove this wrong? Maybe!
This has 101 words according to MS Word's counter. They usually allow a word either way so you could leave it or perhaps cut a non-essential adverb or adjective. There are several to choose from.
A couple of spag issues with the word 'aboriginees':
'...above the aboriginees camp...' => This needs a possessive apostrophe after the word 'aborigines'. And there is only one 'e' in 'aborigines'.

Thank you Pantygynt - I have fixed the error. And removed a word!
Blessings, Kay.

This is outstanding. I've never heard of bone-pointing but it sounds formidable. Belief in something can certainly have an impact. Interesting that it was outlawed. A very powerful story in few words. Quite an accomplishment.

Australia is the oldest inhabited land on earth. Our people had plenty of time to work with nature and learn magic. I appreciate your revies and the shiny stars. Blessings, Kay XX

A very powerful flash fiction story Kay about the early days of white settlement and some of the despicable behaviour. A sad picture of the times, the brutality.Well told.

Hello Valda, Thanks for reading. I based this on a story from the 1800's - a true story back then. Blessings, Kay xx

What a great 100 Word Flash Fiction entry. The picture choice was awesome. The short flash fiction was truly amazing. Mmm medicine men and here in American medicine women were very powerful in their intent, I can definitely understand why certain acts were outlawed. Very well done and deeply enjoyed.

Hello my friend, thanks so much for reading and glad it kept your interest. I based it on a newspaper article, it really did happen when the whites enslaved our people. Hope you are well? Love K xx

Doing well here. I really enjoyed this, it brought back both memories and current feelings about Native Americans. You are so welcome. And you are well, I hope.

All good here. We have all borders closed to other states. Queensland is the best state to live because we jumped on covid straight away. There are a lot of foreigners in two other states and they have the worst number of cases. Hope you are OK?

There are too many heart rending situations still gong on around the world even today. Your powerful 100 Word Flash Fiction entry helps bring injustice toward the innocent out into the light. Best wishes in the contest, Kay!!!

Hello my friend! Thanks so much for reading and appreciating the subject. The white enslavery was documented, my people are still trying to get their land rights. Just like the American Indians I guess?
Love, Kay xx

Comment from Gloria ....
This is a well told flash fiction. It certainly could never have happened in reality. I can only imagine how awful it must've been for the men to be forced to stand by. Thank goodness for the peaceful elder. Excellent story-telling here.
Great luck to you with the Committee. :)

Thank you Gloria. No, not fiction. Way back when whites enslaved our people, bone pointing was real. I suppose it was like voodoo; that white man died suddlenly. Much magic amongst black people of any nation. Hope you are well. Love K xx

This is a fascinating piece of Australian history. Sadly, the practice has been prominent in most societies. The wealthy have taken their pick of young girls, and it continues today in many places. The English had a practice of "first night" which entitled the lord to have the first night with every new commoner bride. There wasn't even any race involved. It's amazing how humans can treat other humans with such violence. Nice job telling the story.

I don't know which is more horrifying, the story or the picture. I appreciate you telling this story, because without research, we would never know. Bone-pointing must have been some type of effective Voodoo that people believed in for it to be outlawed. Best wishes in the contest.

Thanks for reading my friend. We are the oldest country in the world.
54,000 years of habitation of my people. The bone pointing was banned in the 1900's.
