What a lovely Senryu you've penned! I love it! I am partial to Unchained Melody so your wonderful poem captured the rapture of it in a nutshell. Love the Righteous Brothers, but where is the other brother? LOL.

Sorry for the late reply.
I m glad my wee poem brought back joyful memories..
Just before performing in this famous video( it was live and Hatfield sung the song so beautifully without autotune. Just pure talent ) the other member of the duo was there and spoke .. then he and the show conductor stepped aside and gave Bobby the stage.
In all honesty , I just came across this video by chance a few day before posting this entry.
Never heard of the Righteous Brothers nor this song but I was literally raptured by the melody, lyrics and his soul voice hence I wrote this wee poem and posted the video.

This is beautiful! The words of the poem are so often true. So often something will trigger a memory of a true love past and you realize it's still there here in the present. The video was a very nice addition.

This is an unexpected surprise; a warm thank you for the extra star.
Glad my wee poem brought back sweet memories.
Personally, I had never heard this singer nor this song but from the comments below the video, I understood that it was still a very loved piece despite its age ( 1965 ).
Both lyrics, melody and Hatfield s voice are beautiful..I can see why it became an evergreen.
It s now a favourite of mine too!

I came upon this song and singer by chance a few days ago and I was mesmerised by the melody, lyrics and Hatfield s voice.

This is a lot older than a decade. Written in 1955 this is over sixty years old and still as good as new. This is a great tribute to messrs North and Zaret.
