I think the Sheriff needs more help with this crime, judi. lol I can understand why people are getting tired of sitting around waiting to be questioned. Here's hoping there is some kind of a break/clue soon. Well done.

Thanks so much for your review and comments. I think once they start digging into the past of some of these people, they'll find a suspect. judi

Hello Judi.
My observation from this chapter is that Berry is either a storyteller or the lights are on but nobody's home. His answers are quite suspicious. As for Arlo, he goes into prime group. There is a lot of history there.

I loved the picture, judiverse. Your script was definitely interesting, it was filled with intense suspense as if one line lead into another. I really loved Arlo's final comment about others having a good motive. Very well done and immensely enjoyed.

Thanks so much for your great review, and I'm glad you enjoyed. We will get to the final interviews in the next scene, and more suspects may emerge. judi

These folks all seem a little suspicious. That Barry seems even more than the others. Good job in show us their personalities in their speech.
Comments:
I meant to review this and then went to do other things so don't know if you already addressed these:
I never met such a bunch of no-nothings. (know-nothings?)
Not sure why there's a "me" here:
(He exits Right, and he does me recites.
"We what to go home!" (want)
don't use the rubber hose n me. (on?) dialect speech?

Thanks so much for your review and comments. Barry has memory problems, so his lack of cooperation is probably due to that. Yes, I had attended to those places you mentioned. judi

. (He exits Right, and he does me recites.) [Huh?]
"How much longer do be have to stay here?" [... do WE have to stay here?"]
Arlo is just a little too motivated as a suspect. I don't know why there are so many smart asses in that troop. It amazes me that the sheriff didn't respond more vituperously over their comments.
A good scene, Judi.

I'm continuing to find your play very interesting and It seems everyone they have interviewed have good alibis. Maybe they should interview the old maid. The dialogue is good and seems natural.

Wickedly witty--thanks for letting us know that was a tongue-twister from the play--I'd have still been trying to figure it out. Hilarious line about singing before the grand jury!
typo: Arlo: Oh, Sheriff, please don't use the rubber hose n=>ON me.

I find it interesting that Arlo reminded Clay that there were others with a good motive. I am liking this skit and can't wait for more.

Thanks so much for your review and supportive comments. Next scene, I should be through with the witness questioning. I wish I didn't have to many suspects! judi

I always love it at the end when the chief detective makes his final deliberation, in Agatha Christie's books, the main police detective is a dunce, but her heroes, such as Poirot or Miss Marple, are veritable geniuses. Another wonderfully compiled script Judy, blessings Roy
Typo : Please don't use the rubber hose (o)n me.

Thanks so much for your review and comments. I watch "Murder She Wrote" episodes on DVD, and she is always smarter than the police. judi
