So many interesting things happening here...I especially like the connection between Detective Law and her hubby. This line is very revealing: Sensing I'd had my emotional fill, Jackson set the rest aside for later.

The mashed pea message on a notecard is ingenious. Another good cliff hanger ending as well! xo Janet

A Blessing! Sally Law has come back from the coma that kept her down for three months. Everyone is elated and keeping quiet about the case for the time being but then Sally sees and hears the news, late one night. This is certainly energizing news. The trial of Tony Alfanzi!

I am sure glad that you created the story suspenseful...to be continued means that things will get better soon. Lying in a coma for three months is really a tragic scenario. So happy that you, the main character, is still alive!

I'm so sorry, Sal, I've been nursing toothache for days, waiting to have it removed on Tuesday.
I was glad to see the Blind Girl is sitting up and feeling better. The news has given her a bit of a shock though. But, will Tony Alfanzi actually get to trial? He isn't the master criminal for nothing, he knows how to get a job done, even when he's in prison. I hope Analiese has someone watching over her? I'm hoping to catch the next part any minute now???? Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

My friend, Sal:

Tony Alfanzi must have friends in every conceivable place under the sun, which makes sense. One cannot become a master criminalist on one's own, eh? I wonder who is keeping his money safe for him while he is enjoying the comforts of jail until trial time? Looking forward to your next chapter.

I guess Sally isn't out of the woods yet. Tony isn't going to want her testifying. He's ordering hits from his prison cell, so he must have someone on the inside on his payroll. There's more to come. I'm looking forward to it.

Hi Sally,
I wonder if Tony has another million dollars to spend in finishing off the blind detective? Analiese is in danger, and Detective Sally won't be around to stop the killing. But I wonder if she'll put the events together and send Mike or Will Moran to ward off this assassin, Eugene?
Terrific chapter, Sally! I enjoyed it. It's nice to see the blind detective recovering from her near death experience.... starving for New Orleans chicken, but all she gets is brown rice. Yuck!
I wonder if Tony can escape from custody? Sometimes the police leave a window open on a hot day. A lucky jump, and Tony could be on the loose again. He's pretty slimy after all.
Looking forward to the next chapter! Keep up the good work, my dear!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you for the wonderful review of my latest book chapter. I'm delighted you enjoyed it. I'm sure to come around soon and get this case solved. Hospital food is just the pitts! Evil people have money because they are connected to the criminal underworld. Alfanzi is no exception. Going deep here. ;) :)

The recovery part is poignant. You will draw the reader in with the gentleness shown and the meeting of her deceased loved ones. Then we move to a change of setting, character and plot. The reader is drawn in as captive in this unfolding plot. This has a nice blend.

Another great chapter in your story. What an experience for the Detective. Her near-death experience was described with such beautiful detail.
So happy to have her back and on the trail of the murderous Tony.
I am looking forward to what happens next. It is definitely exciting and what will happen now to Analiese?
Until our next chapter, my best
Marie
