Nomi,
I like the feelings you elicit with all four seasons.
I see those beautiful trees changing colors. Autumn is my favorite season. Spring too. I don't like Winter either, Nomi.as desolation sets in!
An excellent write!
Good luck with all your writing.
Blessings,
Cindy

Trees, I believe, can undoubtedly have an effect on people, they certainly do me.
I love it in Spring when the greenery starts to sprout again and then when the branches are in full foliage, it fills me with hope and anticipation. I m not sure of what..lol..but the condition/ state / development of trees is something I always enjoy .

I am told that trees are the literal lungs of the planet. It is because of tress that we have clean air to breathe. So, when tress burn or are cut down in excess, the planet is being deprived of the air we need to survive.

Nomi,

Beautiful in its simplicity, I love what you have done with your poem. Trees are indeed a great metric for our lives. It always amazes me to think what they may have seen - the ones going back to the War for American Independence. I love how they have rings to mark each year too. Trees promote peace and wisdom - a great topic for poetry.
A lovely picture you have chosen as well.
Best,

Dave

Thank you Duane. I have been told that trees are crucial to our supply of breathable air. If that is true when a tree is destroyed, we are being deprived of air to breath.
reply by duaneculbertson on 04-Aug-2021
Yeah, that is true. We all owe much to the trees. From an evolutionary standpoint, oxygen was originally toxic. Early cells adapted through molecular evolution to metabolize carbohydrates by 'burning" them with oxygen. This is of course cellular respiration, which is equivalent to burning a piece of paper in a fire, except the energy is released slowly using about three or four dozen smaller steps. Trees take in carbon dioxide and split water to build carbohydrates, releasing oxygen in the process, the oxygen we need for life.
I am not sure why I went on this tangent. Anyway, yes, we need trees and trees are beautiful.
    Best,
    Dave

I like how you describe the trees in each season. There are emotions in your words as seen in the winter season which the trees are bare. Excellent short poem that creates a picture of nature and shows the trees as live characters.

Lovely sentiments that express appreciation for the beauty and allure of trees in each season. I, too, struggle to remember the halcyon days of summer - especially now that we are in the autumn of our lives. Lol But we still have much to look forward to...

Oh, I love trees! They have energy and soul of their own. Great personalization of trees, describing their emotions at different times of year. I am also very sad in winter, looking at bold trees.

Amazing visuals, imagery and presentation.

On the aside note, you have to fix the first line of the Author notes. You have:

"Inspired by Mrs. KTĂ¢??s poem: AutumnĂ¢??s Captivating Song".

The "evil eddie" (FS editor, lol) acquired a few strange symbols, you may want to take care of it.

For many years now I've thought of autumn as being nature's presentation as part of the gospel, "the glory of death" with all the wonderful colours associated with it. Just a transition, beautifully written Bro, an excellent post, blessings Roy
Typo : Trees whisper and (mummer) murmur?

Spring is a beautiful time with all God's creation rebirthing. (I'm not sure that's a word, but it is now, LOL)

My favorite time of year is autumn with all the rich colors and a time for taking stock of life.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful poem with us.

I love this. I love the internal rhymes as well as the external ones. You speak of the seasons as though you knew them well...I believe you. The lovely image is a great fit for this piece. There is nothing I would change about this poem. The flow is as smooth as melted butter, and the meter and rhymes chime along in perfect harmony.
Thank you for brightening up my afternoon, my friend.
Jesse
