Secrets in the Wind - Chap 17
Begin Again you certainly knew how to make this chapter so thrilling . I'm wondering are there more chapters coming?

You've cleverly brought this to forming a head, much like a boil, which becomes infected, and very much so, it's marvellous how a plot becomes manifest, and although one knows roughly where it's going, quite often, like life it's subject to a snaking pathway, well done Carol, well done, blessings Roy

    Thanks Roy....

WE most certainly are getting closer to finding out all the snakes that live in the grass and hopefully we can round them up...but first we have so much more to happen.

Action packed chapter!! Glad the girls were rescued in time, and both survived. I wouldn't have thought Allie was able to sit and talk so soon after multiple stab wounds. So Garth had other agents within the prison as well. I can't wait for the next chapters to see the development and out come. It's quite gripping! Very realistic too ( or at least what I imagine it would be like!) Well done.

I think Allie had one but Cassidy had many. She will not be home as fast, but I need her to get there so Mary and her can meet up....I'll have to invent a miracle cure. lol

There's times when we all need someone to have our backs, but in my lifetime, I can never seem to find them as they promised. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I got your back, my friend...Just don't fall down because I know I can't pick myself up, so we'd both be on the ground. LOL Hope your day has been a good one, and you are feeling well. It's been productive for me...that is, until my 3-year-old refrigerator decided to quit... I called two places so far, and they say three weeks. Luckily I do have an old one for a spare. Ugh!

Thanks for stopping by to read this chapter. Sending my smiles and hugs to you, Carol

Well, just knowing your have good intentions makes me happy. I know you could never pick me up, but I guess we could just wallow in the mud until we could get to our knees. LOL. I don't know what it is that everything we buy doesn't last anymore. I spent $200 on a new car battery last year. Today it was dead. Luckily, it won't cost anything, but it's a pain to take it out and replace the new on, again. Goo luck on finding a new frig. Everything is backlogged. Smiles and hugs to you! Ric

Thanks for getting these women out of there alive, Carol! No we can watch for the pieces to come together, somehow. I haven't forgotten about the other vineyard workers and Cynthia. Lol Great writing.

    Hi Judy

Hank is about to visit Mary and Faith....Garth has his eye on Miguel...and Cynthia, Michael and Darryl are soon to be in the mix as well. I needed to get Cassidy out of prison first and have her at the ranch for recovery.... Action should be happening like popping popcorn. LOL

Find an agent if you don't already have one. This thriller deserves to be published!

Then if you relish keeping your job, you're going to tell me right now where my agents are[?=>PERIOD]

His usual analytical mind crashed with a rare, unexpected emotional [SUGG OMIT: one] moment.

"You want me to drive?" [SUGG OMIT: Garth's dubious voice asked.]

[SUGG: OMIT or replace the following with dialog in keeping with the drama: Garth and Hank exchanged a few more thoughts on the situation while they waited for Liz.]
[SUGG: PARAGRAPH BREAK:]
Dust and gravel scattered everywhere as [she=>LIZ] brought the Jeep to a skidding stop.

Allie sat in the chair alongside Cassidy's bed. Gauze bandages wrapped around [her=>WHICH ONE?] head, arm, and torso. The purple color around her eye showed she soon would sport a black eye.

Carol,

WHEW. I thought Cassidy was really gone and was mostly worried about Allie. Good for you! I'm so glad you saved all of them - including the agents. Well done!

A note:
--> Hank called to her, "Liz, (t)ake Garth.

Thanks!

Great Cassidy is willing to help. I sure hope they can catch these bad people I am sure they are up to really horrible stuff.

Thank goodness for that! Now to get those slimeballs. But, what happens when Cassidy is fit enough to go back to prison, will the FBI be able to stop that? I do hope so. She's been through too much all ready. What a great chapter this is, and if I'm not mistaken, perhaps Garth has a little bit of feeling for Allie???????? Now that would be nice. Well done, my clever friend. You did it, with everything going on in your heart and mind at the moment. Well done!!! Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

    good morning, Sandra.

I haven't figured how I keep Cassidy out of prison, but it's essential she plays an important role in the story as it progresses. Unless they arrest Sofia or pressure Jon... but I don't want to show too much of my hand just yet. I need Cassidy at the farm so she can connect with Mary.... Maybe the Director has pull and she can be held at the farm under witness protection? That's one of those oops! Tossing Garth and Allie together at the farm won't be bad either. I need to turn the story to involve Mary and Faith now. Help! My brain is rattling!! LOL

Thanks for the review and kind thoughts. I am really trying to press myself to keep busy right now. I might write another story but I am not sure on which person yet. I wanted to write to my Dad, but that could be heavy. One to my Mom would be emotional. I even considered one to Kaitlyn. Pondering!

Love you, and thanks for all your support. Hugs and smiles, Carol
