What a sad senryu. It follows the required 5-7-5 syllable format, and it is clearly about emotions, as the prompt requires. I feel it's very nicely written! And I don't usually care for nonrhymed poetry!

Beautiful and sad. Your heart will treasure the person, presumably your husband, forever. One cannot see this picture and then read the poem without choking up.

Thanks for your review. Pic has been changed as the poem was not in particular about passed servicemen. No disrespect meant. Hope the poem still leaves you with the same feelings.

Senryu is a form to portray human emotion, so your topic is highly suitable, combining the ingredients of love, separation through death, and (with the addition of the photo) possibly sacrifice and patriotism. (I don't live in America, but I assume the flag means he was a serviceman.)

Thanks for the review. I have changed the picture, I am not American either and my thoughts for this piece were not along the lines of passed servicemen
